Beautiful place with local-style design and friendly staff. I had steak and eggs for breakfast a delicious choice that kept me full for quite a while. Another day, I came for lunch and went with a steak sandwich and fries everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place.

Sunday Breakfast! We stopped here on our way home from camping. We had decided to try a new location recommeded by our campground host instead of the closer option and we are really glad we did! This is the Mom and Pop breakfasts we both remember. Food seasoned well and prepared just as we asked. We tried one of the specials, which our only complaint was it was probably a bit heavy on the sausage (when was the last time you complained about that??), a ham and cheese omelette that was delicious, and the Benny Skillet which had crispy hashbrowns, perfectly prepared eggs, plentiful tasty ham, and a delicious Hollandaise. The atmosphere is charming and welcoming. The staff are absolutely AMAZING! They are all very friendly and attentive and it was BUSY while we were there. It is a smaller restaurant, so at busy times, there may be a wait. We got to sit down right away, but if you can’t, it would still be worth it! We will be back!!!

You walk in and it just feels clean and welcoming, friendly service got to order right away and got our food so quick. My hash browns were so crisp yet melt in your mouth 10/10 would recommend.

Great small cafe. I regularly head there for their awesome breakfasts. I decided to try their Friday fish fry last night. Turns out this small tidy cafe does indeed serve up a tasty fish fry too.

I had the Fisherman’s Platter.
1 beer batter cod, 2 corn meal bluegill, 2 corn meal perch, 3 beer batter large shrimp.
I chose potato pancake for my type of potato. Very good!

Remember, cash and checks only (there’s an ATM machine onsite).

Very comparable to Lucy’s Lunchbox in Eagle River. Now we have another favorite go-tos for a big, delicious breakfast. My husband said the meat lovers omelette was the best we ever had. He took 1/2 home and he doesn’t do that often. I loved my biscuits and gravy too.
The restaurant was so clean which was amazing being how busy they were. No wait though!
The young server who just turned 17 was so professional and sweet. Order was perfect and she was so efficient! Can’t wait to come back soon.

If you’re looking for the quintessential Northwoods diner experience, look no further than Dee Dee’s Diner in Rhinelander, WI. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that classic, welcoming hometown diner feel. The staff and fellow patrons are as warm as the coffee, making you feel right at home whether you’re a local or just passing through.
The walls are a trip down memory lane, adorned with vintage photos and fishing lures that tell the story of the area. It’s the perfect backdrop for a casual first date or a cozy family meal. The food is exactly what you’d hope for—delicious, comforting, and served with a smile. Dee Dee’s isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a true taste of Northwoods charm. I can’t recommend it enough!

Nice cozy diner. The climate was neither hot or cold. I went around 1 pm on a Tuesday and it was not busy. It was a seat yourself and I found all the tables AND the chairs to be clean. The booths that I saw didn’t have rips or cracks in the vinyl. There is a bar like seating up at the front if you are eating solo. They did their best to maximize their seating.

I ordered, wonton mozzarella sticks, hamburger, fries and raspberry dream pound cake. The mozzarella sticks were fresh and hot. They were pretty pick and after eating three, I wondered if I was going to be able to finish my meal. They tasted great, however I cut my lip on the wonton that wrapped around the mozzarella.

The hamburger was pretty tasty. I liked that they toasted the bun and added that extra crunch. The tomato was pretty thick so it was hard to keep the burger together and made it a bit messier but, I would order another one in a heartbeat. The fries were nothing to write home about. Basic fries. I didn’t taste any type of seasoning.

The dessert, I was told, was homemade. It was a raspberry pound cake. There was some kind of fluffy stuff in the middle that was also raspberry flavored. It had a white frosting. I felt it was pretty tasty as well. The raspberry fluff did cause the cake to be a bit soggy but it wasn’t to bad. It looked like I had the second to the last piece, so that would explain the soggy part.

The waitress I had was super friendly and checked on me often.

This was my first time but I would defiantly go again, just to have another burger or to try something new.

What I didn’t care for:
Breakfast wasn’t served all day.
Found 1 short black hair in my french fries.
Debit/Credit card are not accepted, however they have an ATM inside,

Now known as DeeDee’s Diner. Busy Sunday mid morning. Great service, great food. Had breakfast served promptly – all were well satisfied! Country fried steak lightly battered and cooked perfectly. Gravy paired well. Great flavors. Waffle (special today) had great flavoring – made it extra special. Friendly service. We will be back.
