This is the best food I’ve had in Champaign. Once we tried it for the first time, we were back in less than 24 hours. Their Italian beef is better than any I’ve had in Chicago; the beef to bread ratio is perfect. We also tried the arancini which was made fresh.

Dee-Dee’s is awesome! Walked in this weekend after seeing a sign outside that noted they sell Arancini. As a Chicago native, seeing somewhere selling beefs nearby definitely caught my eye. When I walked in, the vibes were immediately awesome with good food and nice guys working the front. I had the Parmesan chicken cutlet sandwich, the meat arancini, tiramisu and a Sicilian Lemonata. Everything I had was so delicious and the owners were so nice! 10/10 would recommend. I am definitely going back soon!

Just an amazing, handcrafted sandwich. You can tell its some top notch quality from the moment you see it and bite into it. Definitely the best bread I’ve had with an Italian Beef, usually places cheap out here, but Dee-Dee’s bread is a game-changer. Can’t forget about the delicious beef too, and I highly recommend the formaggio spread, you won’t regret it.
Everything about Dee-Dee’s blew me away. Nice and simple that they are open exclusively from Thu-Sun, makes for a rewarding treat towards the end of the week. Pricing was a sweet deal when you see the size of the sandwich you’re gonna get. Overall, just a great addition to campus, the kind of place you want to introduce to your friends, parents, classmates, etc. If you’re an Illini or just visiting, you gotta make it here.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for months, but the limited hours kept me from trying until tonight. Good God that sandwich was incredible. I broke my diet due to having a really bad day, and I swear on my life I had tears going down my face by the 2nd bite. It legit took me back to this one time when I was a kid sitting at the kitchen table doing homework while my mom made dinner with whatever we had laying around. Anyways I’m rambling, if you’re reading this debating on trying them out, DO IT. I had the presto add mozzarella, but go with your gut if something else sounds better on their menu.

Best beef in town from the perspective of a Chicagoan foodie in temporary exile in Urbana for educational purposes. Also the limonata and the veggie arancini are solid complements to the beef. Very juicy and tender beef with solid flavor and all that, also they give lots of napkins which is good for when you’re eating a dipped beef.
