Dee Dee is a roadside restaurant offering traditional Thai cuisine.
It is quite busy in the evenings, but we came here for lunch and it was very quiet.
The staff is very friendly and the service was fast.
We ate some good freshly cooked food and I also had an excellent mango smoothie prepared by the owner of the restaurant.
The fried bananas were quite a calorie bomb, but they are worth trying!

A beautiful family run restaurant i discovered on the main road in koh tao. Their fried rice is the most delicious i’ve had in thailand and I came back the next day for the same as it was so good. Seems to be a mother and son running the place and their smiles just make it extra good. Well worth it

We brought in fresh fish we had caught earlier that day. They prepared a delicious feast for our group of 10, cooking the fish to perfection and serving it with generous sides and warm hospitality.
The family was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place so flexible, friendly, and skilled—definitely a highlight of our time on the island. Highly recommended!

Excellent food! We ordered 10 different dishes (6 hungry adults) everything was fresh(meat, vegetables, seafood) family restaurant, owner was kind and very funny guy. Simplicity kitchen with touch of love. Highly recommend!

We simply wanted to order takeout, which turned into a surreal wait of over an hour and a half. The most shocking part? Not a single word of apology, not even a glance, and definitely no commercial gesture from the owner to compensate for this blatant waste of time.
The owner dared to hide behind the lazy excuse: “Thai people cook with fresh products.” This is an insult to Thai gastronomy. Any authentic local restaurant serves impeccably fresh food in a third of the time, and with a smile.
We are generally patient and understanding customers, but this was pure amateurism. If you want to eat Thai food without wasting your entire evening and being treated with such indifference, stay away from this place. There are dozens of other spots where they respect the customers as much as the ingredients.

Very very friendly staff. Excellent service. Delicious food. Drinks come out as soon as ordered which is appreciated in a hot climate. We ate the pad ka prow, green curry, red curry all of which we recommend. They listened to our requests for extra spicy and delivered. Highly recommend.

Comeback here the second time after 2 years. The restaurant now is well-constructed & the food is still delicious. I am still in love with Papaya Salad & Fried Banana here. The food is only around 100B which is such a good price on this island. Love this place!
