20 million people in the United States have a gluten sensitivity or allergy, 3 million people have a celiacs disease. That is 23 million people alone in the United States that have a gluten problem and cannot have it so why this place doesn’t offer gluten alternatives I have no idea but that’s what I was told by their staff.
Edit/update so the owner replied to me that supposedly they offer gluten-free options yet when I called in to try to actually go there with my wife I was told by someone working there that they do not offer anything as well I recently came across a bunch of immaturity on their website on Facebook basically their page where they were laughing at somebody who literally made a comment similar to what I did.

Stopped in over the holiday weekend, I now call this place a hidden gem. Service was fast and courteous, building was clean and inviting. Cooks seemed to enjoy their work and that was manifested in their dishes, absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back with grandkids to sample the kids menu.

So good! I got the chicken tender platter with fries and Mac & cheese. At first look at the menu you would think that it’s a little pricey but when you get the food (which came super quick) you actually get a decent sized portion. I’m not one to take home leftovers but I definitely did today. The staff were extremely friendly as well. Overall glad we tried this restaurant!

I got the large Mac n cheese with BBQ beef in it ,it was delicious and I ate it for 2 days cause it was so big. My daughter got the chicken tenders with Buffalo sauce,the sauce wasn’t on them but in a plastic container she likes them already covered and it did take 2 sauces butttt I ate one and it’s the best chicken strip I ever had including chic fila.. I’m not kidding I don’t know the owners they are that good. They are huge in length, all white chicken breast,battered fried very juicy. They have to be home made, the fresh fries are delicious. They prices are not crazy but if you have a family you’re feeding it’s a little pricey but the food is great ,I would say it’s all homemade definitely worth it. Great place ,it did hurt my heart walking in for the first time not seeing Gene ,I grew up going here I took my kids and my grandkids, me and my daughter went about once a month til he closed. Mr.Gene was a hardworker and kept his restaurant open for 50yrs I know of.

I can’t explain how disappointed I am by this experience. We are out of Towner’s and saw the raving reviews and promise of BBQ. It’s a lie. The menu prices ON THE WEBSITE are significantly lower that what they are actually charging and there is zero BBQ. The chicken sandwich was bland, the meat tasted like water and thank God, I got the sauce on the side or I would have eaten the dead fly in my meal. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a waste of time and money. We tried to support the local business, but this is totally unacceptable.
