The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. And as a person with celiac, I can honestly say, this is the most celiac-friendly and safe restaurant I’ve been to, especially in the area. Not only can many of their dishes be made gluten free (they have GF flour, breadcrumbs, etc.), but they also have a dedicated frier. It made me so happy that I was not limited to one part of the menu. Even their fried calamari and mozzarella sticks can be made GF. We ordered the clams casino and GF calamari to start. The calamari was amazing and even better than traditional, and their marinara was very tasty. We then ordered the GF veal portobello and non-GF salmon with pesto—we both agreed our dishes were absolutely delicious. I then had an espresso martini for dessert, and not surprisingly it was an incredible cocktail.
Our server was also incredibly kind, explained everything we had questions on, and even ran after us when I forgot my leftovers (I would’ve been so sad!). Overall, definitely will be back, and soon!

Food/Service excellent. Place has been around for awhile. I think back in the 1990’s it was a pizza shop not quiet sure but I don’t remember it being to busy. I remember getting food from there back in 2007 or 08. Food was good but I felt portions were small. Past few times Ive gone there really really good food and service. With limited space they do an excellent job

Got the seafood pasta. It was over the top. Very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Then watermelon mozzarella with vinegret was also quite impressive. Definitely my top Italian destination.

This was my second time in this restaurant, I don’t know what it took me so long to come back to this great restaurant after the good experience I had the first-time. I came back to this place yesterday for a special celebration and like the first time everything from Food and service were excellent. My waiter was a young man who was very professional and was always checking that everything is fine. I am defenally coming back soon.

DeCosta is an example that it doesn’t matter where you are in New York the flavors of Italy are always nearby.
Externally you wouldn’t think much but one bite is all you need to figure out that this place is the real deal. To quote my brother “This is some of the best I’ve had.” And he went to Italy to try the food so I trust his opinion.
In my opinion, the food is fantastic and filling. And above all else very affordable. If you’re in the neighborhood check the place out.
