I went to Deccan Delight today for their Iftar buffet at $23.99 and had a really good experience. The buffet had a great variety, and I enjoyed trying different dishes. The Haleem was rich, smooth, and full of flavor, while the biryani was perfectly spiced and aromatic — definitely my favorites. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a nice place to break fast. Overall, it was worth it and I’d happily go again.

This restaurant was clean and organized. The food was delicious. The prices are affordable. My family and I enjoyed the BBQ platter along with the condiments and sauces on the side. We ordered takeout. We received good customer service. There was an issue with the tip being added on the screen but it got resolved quickly. We would definitely like to return in the future.

The restaurant is well-maintained, with a beautiful interior. The service is pleasant, but the food is average. They could improve the portion sizes and reduce the prices. My biggest complaint is the lack of meat in the dishes. It was all bones, which was disappointing. I hope they can address this issue.

Excellent experience from start to finish! We came for Iftar with our family, including young kids, and everything on the buffet was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. It was well worth the visit, and I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

I called the store around 11:15 PM CST right after landing at Chicago airport to check if they were open for extended hours on New Year’s Eve. Usman answered the call and mentioned the store had already closed and no one was at the Naperville location. However, he told me they had freshly made Zafrani mutton biryani available.
What truly impressed me is that Usman came all the way, opened the store just for this order, and made sure I was taken care of. That level of customer service is rare.
The mutton biryani was absolutely outstanding—rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and honestly the best biryani I’ve had in recent times.
Huge thanks to Usman for going above and beyond. Highly recommend!

****** There was a long hair on samosas in their display and restaurant owner literally used his hands (with out gloves) touched food, to take that hair from samosa and kept all the food back in display for sale and literally they are making fun of it and asking other lady that whose hair is this and they are laughing..
** No water served for dinner, we ordered biriyani to eat at this restaurant (dine-in) and we asked for water (thought they forgot to server water for dine-in) and she said we don’t server water, usually you have to buy water bottle. ( So surprised to hear that).
Their deal of the day about (family pack) is totally confused on their display and they have buy one and get one (on Tuesdays) for $18. Almost of same/similar quantity in family pack they charge $42(with tax) + $2 ( extra) if you are paying with card.
They said family pack comes with haleem, chick 65 and dessert, but we got only biryani and when we asked about the same she said we have to pay another $15 extra to get those. restaurant Front desk lady has no clarity on their posted items and when we asked about the price difference, she said that’s how it works.
Restaurant owner was sitting there all the time and he never clarified and spoke to us on this a single word( looks like he don’t care customers).
I am not going to this place again, as they don’t care about quality of food and customer service..

I had a great experience with Deccan Delights for a last-minute iftar pickup. We ordered the family pack, which included two biryanis, Chicken 65, and Haleem. Oh and a small container of gulab jamans. The biryani was perfectly spiced, and the Chicken 65 was packed with flavor. Both were an absolute delight. It was the typical Hussain biryani and it was very convenient to access it easily at this location as opposed to going all the way to Lombard.
The Haleem, however, wasn’t quite to my taste, but that is purely a matter of preference. Coming from a Pakistani background, I am used to Haleem made with wheat, barley, and lentils. This version was made with oats and had more of a “dalyah” texture. While it did not match my personal expectations, I can see how others might enjoy it.
Overall, the food was delicious, the service was efficient, and their new location is fantastic. TBH Deccan delights truly made iftar easier for us on Chand raat, and I will definitely be returning iA.

I’ve visited many South Indian restaurants, but none of them ever gave me that true “Hyderabad Biryani” feeling—until I came across Deccan Delights.
The flavors instantly reminded me of home (Hyderabad). The aroma, the spice balance, and the authenticity are exactly what you’d expect from a proper Hyderabadi biryani. Every bite carried that nostalgic taste I’ve been missing.
If you’re looking for the real Hyderabad biryani experience, I strongly recommend visiting Deccan Delights. It’s the closest you’ll get to tasting home outside Hyderabad!
