My sister in law called to order a cake 5 days in advance ( Tuesday ), she emailed the images she wanted to use for the cake, and proceeded to call debbies delights bakery again the next day to confirm the details. On Friday my sister in law called to confirm a pickup time for the cake but the bakery said they had no order for her. Th employee then stated in an irritated tone that she could not have taken the order because she “always takes a deposit down”. After saying she never got the order, she then said that the picture that my sister in law sent did not work…
A simple apology would have fixed the issue, but instead the bakery tried to blame her for their mistakes. We will not be ordering from this bakery again.

My mother walked into this bakery today (1/7) without realizing there was a sign on the door stating they were closed. Instead of being politely informed, she was rudely spoken to and yelled at with, “Didn’t you see the sign? We’re CLOSED”
When my mother explained she didn’t see it and apologized, the employee or owner responded, “It’s on Facebook too!” — which is inaccurate, as there was no post stating they were closed.
What makes this experience especially disappointing is that she was there to inquire about a wedding cake order, and due to how she was treated, she chose to take that business elsewhere.
I understand mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for being disrespectful to a customer over an honest mistake. Customer service matters, and unfortunately this interaction ensured we won’t be returning.

I stopped by recently after being in the area (I’m from Beaumont) and I’m glad I did! I picked up some cupcakes & a pumpkin loaf. The cupcakes were perfect! The pumpkin loaf was moist and delicious also. I can’t wait to find an excuse to order a cake from here!
