Cute local casual spot! We got a lobster roll, cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, fried shrimp and mozzarella sticks with no complaints, all tasted good! Some of the portions were on smaller side, but we definitely expected that with the low prices and it worked out perfectly for us since we wanted to try a bunch of things anyway! We loved the no frills vibe and the plentiful all-outdoor seating. Quick service too, we ordered a lot and still didn’t have to wait long. Our pup loved to be able to join us for lunch outside and it was nice and shady with the massive beautiful old tree. We didn’t have room for ice cream but looked great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful!

Nice little stand i went today. It wasn’t full. We didn’t had any problems finding parking. Perfect day to eat outdoors. The food is DELICIOUS. The ice cream too. Friendly staff. My only complaint… It is a bit expensive but oh so worth it!!
They have high chairs for kids.

Hey drove from Richmond, VA to get me some whole bellies clams! Anytime I’m in CT I always try to make a stop at DB. Been here for 85 years. Summer outdoor food stand with lots of picnic tables. Can’t get whole bellies down south, least where I am, so always looking tonget some. They are lightly fried with a good batter, always tasty. Another northern thing I moss are clam cakes, so we grabbed a 1/2 dozen of those as well. Back in the day this was a normal hang out spot for some grub or some ice cream. Pretty cool that I’ve gotten my kids to look forward to DB stop anytime we are visiting. Got a pint of clams, clam cakes, a scoop of cookies n cream and a banana split. Staff is always friendly. Food is pretty quick, always hot and tasty. Great New England tradition, always well worth the trip!

This place is like a throwback to years gone by. Lots of food food options beyond the ice cream specialties. An absolute gem!

Food was good. Portion size was right for the price…$6 for fish sandwich. Scallop roll was plentiful but the lobster roll was not. Didn’t care for all the kids in sports cars that just hung around the parking lot and took all the parking spaces

I really wanted to give 5 stars. The workers were so friendly. The service was quick. The food was absolutely delicious.
The only reason I’m giving 4 is because two of the 4 seafood platters I ordered didn’t have a single whole belly clam One of the main things we were all looking forward to and why (I assume) the price of the platter is market value.
Having said that.. I absolutely would come back for more!

Easily one of the best spots to eat in Putnam. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the wait times are minimal.
The cheeseburgers are the best around, and the buffalo chicken and clam strips are addictive.
My only complaint is that I have to wait during off-season so I can return the next 🙂
Highly recommended.

Overall great place.
I almost want to buy little bug zappers for the mosquitoes.
The shrimp in the shrimp salad should be tail off.
The chowder was decent.
The Burger was a 7.
Clam cakes were a little small.
Big fish portion for the fish and chips.

I grew up going to Mike’s. They never fail to provide your favorite summertime treats. The Putnam High School students are always fun to work with.
If you can think of it, they probably have it. Try the clam strips!
