Dearman’s Diner has been a staple of the Baton Rouge community since it first opened its doors in the 1950’s as a pharmacy and lunch counter — While the aisles aren’t filled with prescriptions and magazines anymore, you can still come and enjoy a burger and shake that’ll leave you filled with more than just nostalgia.
Hamburgers, milkshakes & other American classics served in a diner with a retro 1950s feel.

Great food, loved the atmosphere! I had the chicken sandwich and it was fire. & the strawberry shake was one of the best ones ive had in a long time. My friend loved the chz burger and we’ll def both be back to try other things on the menu which had great prices. Our server was great. Restaurant could have used a little sweep under a few tables but other than that, i had a great time. Will be back! 9/10

We had a great first experience!! The place was pretty chill and empty! Slow but steady night for the staff! Shoutout to the cook, she was throwing down on the grill by herself!!!! Burgers were great, we just thought the burger meat itself needed more seasoning! But the table had seasoning and etc for everyone to use!! I had been craving a burger and it did what it had to do!!!!

I haven’t been to Dearmans in years, but I’m glad I stopped in today. The food was really great as well as the service. Jan was my waitress and provided me with an excellent customer experience. The burger was delicious, hot off the grill, and the natual flavor of the meat put it in a class of its own. I had fries with my meal followed by a chocolate syrup and ice cream sundae. Its a no brainer, stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

Chicken was so dry you couldn’t even tell it was chicken. The fries were decent but the Milkshake was really good. Overall experience 4/10

I came here to experience the GREAT burgers that all of the “car guys” have raved about, and their reviews did NOT disappoint.
You seat yourself here–menus are on the table (and kept there).
The staff seem VERY HAPPY to work at this establishment. Everyone who interacted with me made me feel “right at home” even though this place is located in the Bocage area, and I was NOT draped up or dripped out with pearl necklaces, earrings, or the $145 Capri and top set.
That cheeseburger was very good…and surprisingly good given that it wasn’t seasoned! EVERYTHING WAS SO FRESH-TASTING!
I can’t wait until I go back to try some other items and get a sweet drink/float.
The atmosphere created here is sooooooo laid-back and welcoming; I actually almost felt as though I was back home in Acadiana/Lafayette/rural community.
Thank you for making a product better than that BurgerSmite* franchise (lol) and Bruckenheimers* (lol). * Not stating real names, as I don’t intend to influence anyone not to be a patron to those burger spots.

Best vanilla malt I’ve ever had!! Simple menu and fast service. The staff was very kind and attentive. I went with the double bacon cheeseburger with home cut fries. The burger comes fully loaded. Of course I went with dessert with the meal and watched them spin the malt right in front of me at the bar seating. Definitely will be coming back for this old-fashioned diner and great food.

My first time eating at this long-time establishment. The cheeseburger was excellent! The home-style fries were tasty, but the portion seemed small for the price. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back.
