Dear Emilia has had a long-awaited opening, and it was worth the wait to be able to indulge in the decadence that is Dear Emilia’s culinary menu. The menu takes a similar approach to traditional Italian cuisine with appetizers, pastas, mains and sides – but with a small plates or Italian “tapas” approach. The Tigelle made with housemade mortadella was my favorite bite of the night, and the Lasagna Verde came as a close second – packed with flavor from the bolognese and mixed sauces. Aside from the food, the staff was so kind & attentive and the space itself is beautifully designed. Cant wait for my next visit and hopefully sit at the beautiful chef’s counter.

Great new location to enjoy Italian food and a nice wine list. Service and food were both great. Look forward to returning w friends.

This restaurant is dedicated to the Emilia region of Italy and each dish told an amazing story. From the amuse bouche to the tiramissu everything was fabulous. My favorite bite was the lasagna, and when they brought a piece of foccacio to swipe up the sauce….well let’s just say they know what’s up.

Food, wine and service were all exceptional. Maiale and root vegetable pasta stood out but everything was great. Try the house made amari. Jason made the experience wonderful, and the passion from both kitchen and front of house shines through. Both emilia romagna and Campania are well represented on the wine list which is a real treat. Can’t wait to come back.

Good, but not great. The menu is short on options, and the pricing is extraordinarily high for small plate servings. Consider the 9 oz. Bistecca di Colorado for $86. The steak, while well cooked, was served with a “focaccia miso jam”, which looked and tasted like liver and did not pair well with the whipped lardo with rosemary and parmesan sauce atop the steak. I could overlook the price of this dish if the accompaniments were better tasting and less contrived. Similar feelings about the six other dishes we tried. Only the amuse-bouch made us say wow. The restaurant has good potential, but if you’re expecting the quality of Restaurant Olivia, you will be disappointed. Hopefully, the owners will speak to their chef about expanding the menu and improving flavor profiles.

My husband and I have been going to Olivia as our special occasion treat since we moved to Denver five years ago, and were honored to dine with the Dear Emilia team for its soft launch. From the moment you walk into this special space, the same warm, sparkling vibe envelops you- and the food!!! It was a joy to eat there. It is clear that a lot of care and love have gone into this new sister restaurant and its menu, and we were thrilled with absolutely everything. We so appreciate the wonderful staff, and the design is so gorgeous. Our only regret is that now we will have to split our special occasions between Olivia and Emilia 🙂

A new must try in Denver! This place was absolutely incredible, I’ve eaten all over Denver and have tried all the nice places around town. This is close to the top of the list, definitely top 5 but it is pretty pricey.
