Dean’s cakes has been popular in the south for years. You are able purchase cakes in several different grocery stores. Also many Restaurants in Montgomery Ala serves it by the slice. They are made and sold out of Andalusia, Ala. I visited here for the first time on my way through. Their cakes are delicious and worth stopping here. They also have many desserts available by the slice and also whole pies to purchase. Everything is homemade here at this store front. I highly recommend to stop in and get your sweet tooth ready. Deliciousness

Bought a chocolate layer cake from a store that they sell their products at and was highly disappointed. It is like cornbread. I spent $22.98 and it’s in the trash. I have emailed the cake company to inform them of this because if it was my product, I would want to know. It expires 4/1. Either it was not cooked correctly or, bc the store refrigerates it, it is causing it to dry out. I’m so disappointed.

We were driving through Alabama on the way to Florida and noticed that they had this cake house nearby so we took a little side trip to pick up some cakes. Our favorite cake that we bought was the Italian buttercream cake. I wish I would have gotten a large one of those because the cake itself was very moist. We did get the seven layer caramel and red velvet. Everyone enjoyed it it’s also a cute little place all the ladies were real sweet that work there.

Bought 4 slices of cake. 4 different kinds. Seems we could only buy frozen slices. No dates on the container. They are freezing the slices to hold them longer I think. Makes sense it’s a business. But not for me at $2.99 a slice. The cakes are very dense and just not what I was looking for as a tourist driving Thru and seeing the signs and wanting to try a local bakery. Will not stop again and do not recommend.

My dad loves their cakes. I do too. We decided to grab one here rather from the grocery stores in Mobile since we were passing through. The employees were so nice, and chatted us up. It almost felt like we were old friends. Thank you for making my dad happy by producing the Lemon Cheese Cake. His mother made it for him when he was young, and it’s a comfort that someone makes it like she did now that she’s passed away.

We stopped by on our way to the beach and again on the way home. I love the German chocolate cake, my wife loves the seven layer chocolate, and the kids like the strawberry cake. It is delicious and definitely worth stopping by and checking out what they have.
