Been going here for almost 2 years or so when up in CT for the weekends. Glad we found this place because we were looking for slices instead of full pies.
The pizza was great and tasted exactly like a lot of my local pizzerias growing up in NYC, where you’d order by saying, “Lemmegettuh peppahroni slice…” and eat on the spot while having random discussions about everything and anything in life. It turned out that the owner is also from the same neighborhood that I grew up in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn!! We chatted it up talking about our times growing up and living in the old ‘hood.
Also, I love the New York Rangers decor all over adding to the old school vibe as the owner is also a local HS hockey coach. Great slices, great staff and all around great times when there. My only problem with this place is that it’s not close enough. 🙂

I picked up an order of mozzarella sticks. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Upon opening my order, it was very clear that these were frozen mozzarella sticks, NOTHING like the photo. The food was lukewarm and soggy!!!! I will also mention that the marinara sauce wasn’t closed properly and was instead spilled in a corner of the box. Which is odd, because I didn’t drop, kick or throw the bag, but instead held it just as the man at the counter handed it to me. I was so appalled by its presentation and marinara in the box instead of provided cup, that upon first opening it, I took a half bite, took a pic and trashed it immediately. Waste of $11. It is frustrating because only went there because I it was the first storm of the season and everything was closed in the area. Yeah… no.

Driving from Connecticut to upstate New York, I happened upon Deano’s. The first slice was so good, I had to get a second!
Cool atmosphere in an old (19th century?) storefront.
Great service, great price, great pizza!

The pizza is thin crust New York and when I say it is amazing I mean it is amazing. It’s flavorful and doesn’t have too much of anything. Perfect pizza. I drive by it all the time and I’ve been meaning to stop by and I’m glad I did. He told me I wouldn’t regret it.

The pizza was tasty, but the service was terrible—and surprisingly, it was the owner of the pizzeria who provided such appalling service. While it wasn’t directed at me, I also witnessed discriminatory behavior. As for the building, I can understand that it’s old, but it seemed poorly maintained, with areas that appeared to have mold. I only went because there were no other places open nearby, but I would never want to go back.

Got a cheese pizza for takeaway on a Friday evening in mid May. It’s a tasty pizza, kind of in the mid-tier range. Nothing too fancy, a workmanlike affair. Pretty tasty overall though nothing really jumps out. I’d happily order from here again. It’s a good small-town pizza offering.

Love Deano’s. I work over at Sharon Hospital and we make a point to go there at least once a week. Pizza is delicious and always love talking with Dean.

Deano’s delivered pizzas to the afterparty of our wedding which was nearby. Our guests finished all of the pizza and my dad was raving about the quality of the pizza weeks later.
