Food was great, drinks were excellent. We sat inside and it was so nice! The deck looked gorgeous too. Well worth the walk from the ferry. Servers were kind and funny. Good took a bit but it was hot and fresh so well worth any wait.

Delicious fresh food with beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the fish and chips, hot lobster roll, and crab Rangoon flatbread, all of which were very tasty.

Dead Eye Dick’s on Block Island, RI, offers a fantastic dining experience with its cool atmosphere and quick, friendly service. Our waiter went above and beyond by triple-checking with the kitchen regarding our peanut and tree nut allergies, which we greatly appreciated. The food arrived promptly, and the Salt & Pepper Calamari was perfectly prepared. Everything else we ordered was equally delicious. This is a great spot, and we highly recommend it!

We ate here twice while staying on Block Island. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was amazing! We got the fish and chips, fish tacos, and swordfish bites. The jalapeño cole slaw was yum! A definite go too!

OMG, the roasted half-chicken here is *delicious*! Just the right combination of spiciness together with the rice, black beans, and roasted bell peppers. Highly recommended! Who knew such amazing cuisine was available on Block Island! The waitstaff were also friendly and attentive.

Dinner at DED’s on Block Island was an unforgettable experience! Located just across from our Narragansett Inn Hotel, it made for the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while watching the storm roll in. The food was absolutely spot-on—I’ll be dreaming about the Crab Rangoon Flatbread for weeks. We also savored the Scallop Tostadas, Swordfish Bites, and the delicious rolls served with pepper jam and honey butter. Every dish was exceptional!

Adding to the evening’s charm was the Monday night jazz music, which set the perfect backdrop as we made new friends and soaked in the iconic atmosphere. The blend of great food, live music, and a picturesque storm rolling in made for a truly memorable evening—one that felt like it could only happen here on Block Island.

DED’s has a rich history, adding to its appeal. Originally established in the 1940s, it has been a longstanding fixture in the New Harbor area, offering breathtaking views of the marina and Great Salt Pond. Named after a character from Herman Melville’s novel, the restaurant has maintained its classic seaside charm while delivering a modern culinary experience. This blend of history, ambiance, and fantastic food makes DED’s a must-visit spot on Block Island.

Breathtaking ocean views sitting on the deck watching the harbor. Food was amazing, I highly recommend the Cajun swordfish bites! so juicy and tender! The lobster roll had some of the biggest portions of claw and tail meat I’ve ever seen!

Server was friendly (Tommy), however service was a little slow. That being said, there were 3 servers to wait on the whole establishment, outside being the most packed

Excellent meal- and beautiful dining room. We were grateful for friendly service and quick seating, even on a holiday weekend! Beautiful view. We enjoyed crab cakes, swordfish bites, NE Clam Chowder and shrimp and grits. Parker house rolls may have been the best. Nice wine selection too!
