Both server and bar tender were very attentive. Food was good. Cannot beat the hotel 15% discount. Nicely convenient, after driving 5 hours, just nice to walk across lobby to get to bar. NY pizza, 10 pieces was surprisingly quite large. Only made it through 2 pieces. Thankfully once we took out all the shelves, the box did fit in the room fridge.

Everything was good at Deacon‘s. We had the seafood platter pretty good and the beer of course was good. Anybody that says nobody’s there, must’ve come an off day. It was pretty crowded when we were there a birthday party and a few people having a drink. Very nice. Thanks for a nice stop on a trip back to my hometown

The bartenders, Dan and Kevin are super attentive and friendly. The food is exceptional and far exceeded our expectations for a hotel bar. We have been regulars now for years and have referred all of our friends and family here. If you haven’t stopped by, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Boursin Boxty Burger and Garlic Parm Fries.
The food was great and came out of the kitchen fast. My waitress was a little overwhelmed by all the tables she had because they were spread out between inside and the patio. The bartender was being a team player and trying to help. Overall I will come back here when I’m in town.

It’s a little bleak inside. I was the only customer there when I showed up, so between that and the pretty widely spaced-out tables it felt very empty and plain. I got the prime rib with potatoes and brussel sprouts, which came out pretty quick; the steak was a little disappointing but the sides were good, especially the glaze on the brussel sprouts. Service was excellent, even as more people started to arrive I was regularly checked on and asked how everything was and if I wanted anything else. They also sell local artists’ pieces off the walls which I think is pretty cool. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you’re staying at the attached hotel, they mentioned a discount if you’re a guest there. (I wasn’t a guest there but it’s definitely nice if you are.)

Deacons is small but mighty. They have a nice selection of pub food and beverages. I highly recommend the crab cake on a bun when it’s available. It’s likely the best crab cake I have ever had.
Kids eat free, which is awesome! Plus, they get ice cream. Hotel guests get 15% of their bill. With all of these bonuses and a down to earth staff, you got love this place.

the food and service were excellent, the bartender (Cameron) knew exactly what I wanted!
could use a little more “atmosphere” in the dining room, and a sign outside would be helpful!
definitely not the “other” place (next door) not a chain, they know what personal service and connection is!
gonna eat there lots! I especially liked the Harris Reuben Flatbread and the Irish Onion Soup!
I also heard that the Chef is a total dish, and he enjoys long walks on the beach with that special someone….. and Cake.

The Cheeseburger is pretty good. Got it 2 different times because not many options of choices for my taste on the menu. The potato boxy or whatever they are called not my favorite and wish they just served fries with it. Took 30min to get food on 2nd trip, so not horrible.
