The food itself was great. Everything had a rich taste, and the food came out relatively quick. Our server was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, very patient.
Would definitely recommend to someone who is looking for a great view, with great food, and a good atmosphere.
We ordered the:
* Octopus
* Rock Shrimp
* Squid Ink Spaghetti
* Prime Short Rib
The appetizers were delicious. The octopus just melted in your mouth. The rock shrimp was hearty and not greasy and the glaze was just perfect.
The squid ink spaghetti smelled devine and all the different flavors and textures could be tasted individually as you ate the dish.
Unfortunately, the Prime short rib was dry, salty and overcooked and I couldn’t eat it. It tasted more like a pot roast.
They have plenty of wine choices by the bottle or glass.
The drinks are good with nice presentations and variety.
The food was delicious and everyone was pleased with their food.
The service was good. No complaints.
About the price. Well, nothing is cheap these days, and here is not the exception. However, isn’t crazy. I can afford it.
Definitely I’ll be back. Recommend.
I’ve been here for a late lunch, but I prefer to come here in the evening. The dusk completely transforms the view!
DRINKS
As a lover of spicy margaritas I always start with the Spicy Mami. It’s the perfect ratio of spice, sweet, and tart. I’ve had a sip from my friends glass of the Pornstar Martini, their most popular drink, which I found too sweet for my taste. My friend, however, loved it. I’ve also had a sip of my sisters Lychee Chi Chi, which was very aromatic, but also a bit sweet.
FOOD
The freshly baked bread is so fluffy and always comes out warm. I have to keep myself from eating the whole basket, and licking the little tomato sauce bowl clean.
I’ve been recreating the Heirloom Tomato Salad at home because I couldn’t get enough of it at the restaurant, obviously not doing a great job lol. Every ingredient is integral to this salad. A bit of spice cuts through the rich burrata and the sweetness of honey. I would never expect to like the mint, especially with tomatoes, but it’s so refreshing.
The Squid Ink Pasta is a perfect summer pasta dish, and my favorite. It’s very bright and not at all heavy despite the creamy sauce. Surprisingly, the broccoli pairs very well with the house made pasta and seafood variety. I get this dish every time!
The Prime Short Rib melts in the mouth, and the creamy polenta is in fact very very creamy and perfectly seasoned.
The Miso Black Cod is flaky and caramelized in a sweet & savory sauce. I wasn’t a huge fan of the mashed potatoes it came with, I’d recommend switching them out for a side of polenta.
The Skirt Steak was very tender. I only had a bite of my friends, but it was packed with flavor.
DESSERT
The dessert has been disappointing relative to the perfection of the food. As a huge lover of creme brûlée and a unique spin on dessert, I tried the Sweet Corn Creme Brûlée. The texture was a bit grainy. The coconut flakes were overpowering, and also a mismatch. I’m not sure what the berries were glazed with exactly, but the different flavors and textures didn’t mesh well. The next time I tried the Tres Leches, one of my favorite cakes. It was moist, and creamy, but there was a strong taste of evaporated milk that lingered.
Honestly though, the food is so delicious, the portions are huge, the drinks are strong, and the view is gorgeous. I’m so happy by the end of my meal, dessert isn’t even necessary. I can’t wait to be back again and again!
Side note for, if any, managers or important Denovo people are reading this lol – You guys should do Friday dance nights or something in the front area by the cabanas. It would be a total hit!
Service was great. We were promptly seated and our server was attentive and helpful when asking about food choices. You do have to valet but they were pretty quick.
We got the tuna tartare and a flatbread for apps. The tuna was good but very spicy. The flatbread was also good but probably would get something else in the future.
Dinner was a filet steak and lamb chops. Both were good , presented nicely. We both enjoyed our meal and it was a good portion. The sides with the lamb chop were just average. A few of the lamb chops were small And didn’t have a lot of meat .
We saw some pasta dishes that came out that looked very good . Would probably try one of those dishes the next time. Overall a good meal and I thought the prices were as expected.
We each had a mixed drink which were good and they had a good selection of choices.
Overall I would come back. The food was a 4/5 but with the combination of everything else it’s nice dining experience.
The flowery decoration is definitely a nice touch on the occasion. On top of that, the river view made the dining experience another level.
They have indoor/ outdoor tables, outdoor/indoor bars, and cabanas are available as well.
We ordered octopus, halibut, skirt steak, scallops with risotto and kids pasta. All are very delicious. The skirt steak was my favorite. Very tender and packed with flavors. I didn’t like that the scallops were small but the risotto was very buttery and creamy.
Halibut was cook beautifully. Skin was crispy and sealed the juicy in the fish. All dishes came with some vegetables which were great.
Highly recommend for dates and special occasions.
