De Luca Cucina and Bar is a modern Italian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge City offering great quality food at affordable prices. Perfect for a quick lunch, a romantic evening or group night out, we cater for all tastes and wishes. We sources local and seasonal fresh produce to create exquisite dishes bursting with Italian flavours. We also have the Vespa Function Room, our 30-seater function room, and the Piano Bar, our stylish top floor cocktail bar, which operates as an authentic request-driven and singalong Piano Bar on Fridays/Saturdays (21:00 – 00:30). Parking is available at the Queen Anne Terrace car park a few minutes walk from the restaurant.

Had a poor experience in the restaurant, but the night was saved in the Piano Bar.
I never leave bad reviews, but we waited 45 minutes for our food, when to arrived the pizza was good and the £17 gnocchi tasted like a microwave meal. The texture was slightly mushy and the flavour was just tomato. The atmosphere was also very loud.
I didn’t eat much of it and when the staff came to clear the food they asked if I didn’t like it and I mentioned the texture and suggested it might’ve been over cooked and was told “well everyone else liked it.”
I was in such a poor mood after our meal, we almost went back to the Airbnb and skipped the piano bar. As I’d already paid for it, we went anyway, intending to only stay briefly.
We were there until it closed! Robin’s performance was incredible and it saved the night. We had so much fun, laughed so much and the atmosphere and experience was 10/10.
It’s a shame the restaurant let the experience down, but the night in the Piano bar truly was a highlight of our weekend in Cambridge and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting.

Many thanks to Paul and his team for hosting our party of 24 in the Vespa room for a special birthday on Saturday night.
The service and attention to detail was first class, communications were excellent and the food & drink fantastic.
A special thanks to Jorge who’s dedication to our enjoyment made the evening extra special.
We highly recommend the piano bar afterwards for that cosy old school atmosphere that you’d struggle to fond anywhere else in Cambridge.

Happened accross this place today. What a lovely surprise. The starters were both great; the sauce the prawns were in was particularly delicious. My partner had the bolognese; the pasta was cooked really well and the bomognese was about as exciting as bolognese can be. My chicken supreme was excellent, the dauphinoise being a particular highlight

I really love the lively and relaxed atmosphere at this restaurant and I liked the food too. The seats are comfy and there is a friendly buzz about the place. This is what I enjoy in a restaurant. My husband is a little more picky about the food and we would rate the food as four stars. A great restaurant though – one that I would choose for a relaxing evening or a group celebration.

We went here last Friday with some friends and had a great time. All the food was super tasty and beautifully presented. Our waiter was lovely and made us feel really welcome, and the white wine the owner recommended was incredibly good. And the tiramisù — hands down the best in the city. We’ll definitely be back!

I booked this lovely independent restaurant for a group of 27 and was seriously impressed from start to finish. Organising a large party is never easy, but the team made everything feel relaxed and under control. Despite the size of our group, the food was excellent across the board – beautifully presented, hot, and full of flavour, with everyone commenting on how good their meal was.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were friendly, professional and incredibly accommodating, even when we had a few last-minute changes to numbers and orders. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they managed everything with a smile, which made a huge difference to the atmosphere of the evening.
I’d highly recommend this restaurant for both small tables and larger groups – fantastic food, great service, and a team that genuinely cares about looking after their guests.

The starters were okay. The arancini was coated with lovely fine breadcrumbs but unfortunately it was not hot inside.
The Ragu pasta was nice.
But the balance of the lasagne was not good. The lasagne sheets, beef, cheese and tomato sauce were not in a good proportion.
I couldn’t taste the cheese and beef fillings at all. To me it’s just thick pasta sheets coated with loads of tomato sauce.
The restaurant and toilets were clean. But the toilets are very small and narrow. My short legs failed to reach the mini garage bin that was put deeply inside the toilet room.
Seeing the good reviews of other customers, maybe what we ordered were not they were good at. Or it’s just my taste.
