Walk. Up counter ordering and seat yourself atmosphere.

Rolls were sadly too dry.
Salad was fresh and delicious with a light dressing that paired well.
Wouldn’t call their smash burger an actual smash burger (bun’s too fluffy and patty wasn’t super thin) but it was tasty and filling! Fries were crispy and yummy.
Cabbage was melt in your mouth delish.
Squash was robust and fresh; great pairing of sweet to all the savory dishes.
Apple crisp was a fail – not nearly enough crisp and just tasted like I was eating warmed up apples with granola on top.

Overall I’m excited to come back and try their other dishes!

Smash Burger is spectacular! They really get the umami balance of flavors here. It took a while to receive all the permits to get up and running (feel like forever) but we are soo happy to have them in Kenmore!

Honestly everything they make is so good.

Free onsite parking with other breweries and food trucks nearby.

Super cool hanger/warehouse vibe, very casual, so you may be surprised by the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. The wild onion donuts are very savory, kind of like french onion soup and garlic knots had babies. Very yummy. We also got the smash burger and the pork collar in congee. Total flavor bomb! They also have trivial night which fill up the place and it’s really fun!

I forgot to take photos when I visited there for the first time because I was too excited to meet my friends, but the drinks and food were amazing. I ended up coming back within two weeks because I loved it so much. The whole menu is unique, and as a farm-to-table spot, their veggies and meats are incredibly flavorful. I don’t usually drink cocktails, but their gin & tonic was perfectly balanced with bitterness, sweetness, and aroma. The Old Fashioned was also great with their rich, flavorful whiskey. It’s kid- and dog-friendly, with plenty of parking. I’ll definitely be back to try more.

I grew up in this area and it’s really exciting to come home to visit and experience this sort of dining in lil ol kenmore! Everything we tried was so yummy, the porchetta roast was perfect for sharing, especially paired with a gin cocktail! Can’t wait to come back and eat again, we want to try the whole winter menu

Meet with a colleague and split the porchetta. Everything was tasty. Would have been awesome had skin been more cracklin like, salad needed like another textual component like duqqa or nuts, maybe even a cheese. Regardless Everything was delicious.
Highly recommend

I’ve been to this place about 3 times now and it is always wonderful. I felt this last time the apple dessert with pumpkin ice cream was very tasty, but very small. I suggest getting one per person instead of the of us sharing. We were practically fighting each other for another bite.

De La Soil is crazy. Part fine dining, Part fast casual.

You order at the bar, grab your number, the food comes 5 minutes later.

When the food comes it looks straight from a michelin star kitchen. Nice plating, bright colors, good portion size.

Every dish was great. Not very often food inspires me to write long reviews but these guys are just great.

other cool things:
– i watched the chef go to the garden for herbs.
– they have kids toys, kids menu
– outdoor and indoor seating
– connected to distillery

definitely coming back.

We recently moved to the area and found De La Soil on accident while biking on the Burke Gilman. We absolutely loved it on our first visit – so much that we have visited two more times in less than two weeks! The food is absolutely delicious – we haven’t tried anything we haven’t enjoyed so far. We have especially loved the heirloom tomato tartine, roast carrots, and blooming walla walla onion. We will definitely be back for more – I am excited to enjoy the menu as it changes with the seasons!

De La Soil is finally open and they are off running. Their first menu is worth a trip to Kenmore any day of the week.
Owners Cody and Andrea have poured all their heart and effort into their entreprise and it shows especially in the taste of the food that punches a lot above its weight. Do not be fooled this is accessible gastronomy at its best.
Go and try everything, you will not be disappointed.

Update August 2025. After a few weeks Cody, Andrea and the rest of the staff have elevated their game to an other amazing level. Not only the regular menu is consistently executed, they are bringing different specials almost everyday that are more exceptional one than the other. From Foie Gras to Andrea’s sublime dessert. And Saturdays they bring a BBQ menu that you will not want to miss.
