In my tour D’Europe doing house and dogsitting I also try to cover as many restaurants with Michelin * and so far DeKas really will be amongst the top 3 together with Nathan in Antwerp and Z Som in Vienna.
Really really good food. No disappointments. In the beginning the flow of food served was a bit too fast but as the restaurant – a quite big one – got filled the pace slowed down, which was good.
The feeling of having a perfect plate and then the next one is even better…..

Went there for dinner and opted for the 5 course veg option. Really nice ambiance. The food was delicately crafted and its really is like art. The service was great. The grapefruit cocktail was amazing. Definitely recommend for a taste of the michelin star restaurant in Amsterdam. It gets booked out way in advance so just a word of caution. And I think they change their menu often as well but I am sure there is a lot of thought that goes into it. And the venue is huge so lots of space.

Top. Considering the quality and where it’s located, I would say it’s almost cheap. Full menu for 53€? Crazy.
Of course you can scale up with the wine, the cheese (the cheese!!!!! What a selection!), the additional desserts, etc… But you don’t really need to. We were already very satisfied (not full) after the menu itself.
We went ahead because it was amazing: the ingredients so intense in flavour, yet so delicate and well balanced. Wonderful aesthetic of the dishes. The place itself helps; it doesn’t lose itself in the details, but it has a fascinating aesthetic, and I loved the daylight. I am curious about how it is during the evening, but I think I will find out soon!! Also, the people were very sociable yet professional, special mention for the lovely Dutch pronunciation of “cime di rapa” by our waitress.
Very recommended for every occasion!

The location, a large, open greenhouse, is warm and welcoming. Despite its enormous size, it’s not at all crowded or noisy.
Truly impeccable service! Wolf, I hope I spelled his name correctly, assisted us throughout the dinner, explaining the dishes perfectly and helping us choose wines and cocktails.
The dishes were absolutely delicious. Each one was refined and unique. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly paired.

De Kas is a truly special, conceptual fine-dining restaurant, set inside a beautiful greenhouse. The atmosphere is unique — you can really see and feel the connection to nature, with a garden and greenhouse where the plants and ingredients are grown. The food is absolutely outstanding, fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain the concept and each dish, and offering helpful recommendations throughout the experience.

Had an amazing dinner at De Kas! The service was excellent, Donal took great care of us and was super attentive the whole night with excellent recommandation. We went for the 5-course menu, and it was totally worth it, every dish was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The interior is beautiful, dining inside a greenhouse surrounded by plants feels really spécial, feels like you are outside amsterdam. Definitely go for the wine pairing and try the langoustine. Will be back to try the lunch menue !
