Stopped by this place on a whim while traveling to Benning for work. Very happily surprised to find friendly folks and great food! They just opened so might have been working the kinks out when we stopped by, but no matter. It’s clear that the owner cares about his customers and his place. Stop by for a sandwich! You won’t be disappointed

Found this gem in south Columbus. Owner and staff are very friendly, inviting and accommodating. The food is delicious. I’ve been patronizing the last couple months. Each time I try something different. End result is the food is cooked perfectly. Sandwiches are big , tasty and filling. Tonight we had the Italian sausage, chicken sandwich, tilapia sandwich . Two orders of chicken wings. Even ordered desserts cheesecake with strawberry topping and red velvet cake. It’s getting to the point that I’m just gonna ask me to make anything he wants. I can’t lose. Everything on the menu is great. Prices are extremely reasonable. The quality and quantity is so impressive that even if they prices were higher you’d never be able to complain. It’s definitely worth the money. Tonight’s meal was so good and we were not able to finish . So we have lunch tomorrow! You want a great delicious sandwich the Detroiter is the place to go. If your not in South Columbus , then drive here, it’s worth the trip . Just go once and I’m sure you’ll be hooked.

My girlfriend really loved her hamburger, and I loved my omelet and grits. Mmmm.
I would definitely come back, because of the cozy, comfortable atmosphere, that doesn’t feel contrived or uptight like a lot of restaurants. It feels like a tight knit home environment, where you matter and aren’t just one of hundreds of customers.
Oh yeah, edited to add, the prices are SUPER reasonable! You definitely get your money’s worth for now good vs cheaply priced it is.

My wife is from Detroit and this establishment truly impressed her. I got the barbeque pork sandwich. And what I got was the best sandwich I’ve recieved in Columbus by far. And that is comparing it to many other renowned local barbecue diners. I give this place a 10/10. Solid service, great food, and affordable prices.

The best corned beef sandwich ever!! Hands down!! Just like the real sandwich shops in Detroit! So fresh and delicious it melts in your mouth. The owner is also extremely friendly and accommodating!

Mr Butch makes the best sandwich I’ve had in the Columbus/Phenix City area, and one of the best sandwiches I’ve had IN THE WORLD. I don’t really know what else to say. Walk in and get yourself the corned beef on an onion roll and get ready to go to sandwich heaven.
