De Clieu Cafe’s new location on Soapstone Drive in Reston is an exceptional escape, adorned with lush hanging plants and rattan lanterns that create a truly relaxing atmosphere. Our experience was fantastic, highlighted by delicious breakfast sandwiches, phenomenal coffee drinks, and delightful desserts. The staff provided outstanding service, expertly accommodating changes in my coffee order and suggesting enticing alternatives. The efficiency and friendliness of the staff allowed us to savor our meal at a leisurely pace.
Their breakfast sandwiches are outstanding. You absolutely must try the Eggacado Sandwich, featuring egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, and guacamole on a bagel, and the Jack of All Trades Sandwich, which boasts sausage, egg, bacon, cheddar, spinach, tomato, and mustard aioli on a brioche bun. Both sandwiches are made fresh and bursting with flavor, featuring wonderfully fluffy and warm bread that starkly contrasts with the often disappointing, cold, and dense options elsewhere.
The coffee here is also a standout — rich and creamy with a pleasant acidity that enhances the overall experience. The Okinawa Haze is a must-try caffeinated latte made with ube and homemade sweet potato syrup, perfectly complemented by additional espresso shots. The White Mocha Latte is equally impressive, offering a creamy texture and a subtle sweetness from the white chocolate that isn’t overpowering.

Great local cafe that serves delicious and hefty breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They use intelligentsia coffee beans so their coffee tastes good. I liked their flat white. The crazy Irishman sandwich was my least favorite out of the eggacado and Jack of all trades. The hash brown didn’t really add much flavor or texture. The eggacado was very good. The blueberry scone was good too but the carrot cream muffin was too sweet. Cheese danish was just ok.

This place has delicious coffee and a wide variety of fun latte’s. Unfortunately, there aren’t any breakfast or pastry options that are labeled vegan. But the coffee is good enough to get me to come back and visit.

So glad my favorite coffee shop in Fairfax City opened another location. The food and drinks are delicious. Their crafted coffee is hands down the best in the area, definitely not too sweet. The staff is so kind and attentive. Their breakfast sandwiches are yummy and big portion. My husband and I usually split a sandwich & a little pastry.

What a welcome addition to the South Reston area! The coffee bar is great. You can’t survive here with a bad one. But the food! And the pastries! Both are really good and consistently so from week to week. They have one of the best BLTs in the area.

What a cozy spot! Staff are friendly. I ordered a raspberry nocturne drink and the eggacado sandwich. The drink was creamy, a bit more bitter than I normally drink (but it’s dark chocolate and espresso, so unsurprising). I would also prefer a bit more raspberry, it was pretty subtle. The eggcado was amazing! Truly the best breakfast sandwich that I have had, everything was perfectly proportioned, delicious, and the bagel was as fresh as fresh can be. I will definitely return.

So excited for the De Clieu Reston location to open! Having been a fan of their Main Street location I LOVED that they came to Reston. I had the egg and cheese sandwich (add bacon) on brioche bun and it was delicious! The brioche is toasty and buttery and it’s just a great sandwich for under $10. Coffee is great, the ambience is very cozy, and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend De Clieu Reston!!!
