Nice big beer, service was pretty non existent. The wing sauce is decent, but the breaded crunchy chicken crusts they call “boneless wings” are so mediocre I didn’t feel the need to order any more even though they were bottomless and I was still hungry.

I was looking up bars with a good cocktail menu and saw this place online and some of the drinks sounded good but there were no pictures so I decided to go here to see what’s up as it was my first time visiting a bar in Iowa City. So I go and it’s a stereotypical sports bar with expensive appetizers, ok whatever, I didn’t go for the food. I literally only went to meet up with someone and have a few drinks. I asked for the drink menu and the waitress disappeared for a while, came back and told me that she couldn’t find one
The vibe was really off. I thought it was just nerves…. Idk I felt uncomfortable. I had 2 shots and then after only 20 minutes being there, I asked my date if we could leave.

I can still remember when Dc’s first opened and it was the spot to be. Now, it’s a bit rundown…the bathrooms are in desperate need of a remodel, but hey, it’s downtown Iowa City, what can you expect? The table service is pretty good and they have good drink specials but the food quality just wasn’t there for us.

If you would like to be aggressively removed from the building by security who will not reveal their names for false accusations, this may be the place for you. I was forcefully removed with little ability to walk down the stairs safely. I remained calm, but the security guard was very erratic and frightening to the point where I feel that they were not safe at all. I would not be surprised if they were under the influence. If this is the way a business is run, it is not for me.
