If you have not eaten here, then you are missing out! OMG SO GOOD! Hands down the best quesadilla (beef) I have ever had. My mom had the half chicken and fried plantains and she could not stop raving about how delicious it was. I also highly recommend the cheese and potatoes side dish. The sauces they give are phenomenal and elevate the already super flavorful dishes. I will most definitely be going back. I will have a hard time deciding to either get the same thing I ordered before or try the chicken or beef stews. I sampled both while there and the flavors of both were out of this world

In July, I visited this restaurant with my friends and was excited about the delicious food they had. Unfortunately, my food tasted strange. I requested an exchange because the lamb texture and taste were unusual, unlike what I had experienced at the restaurant. I usually order chicken or beef bowls, but the worker at the restaurant responded dismissively, saying, “That’s not my problem.” His attitude was incredibly rude and disrespectful, clearly indicating a lack of understanding of customer service. It was disappointing to be treated so poorly, and I decided not to return for a long time.
Fast forward to today, and I had returned because I really wanted my chicken bowl. I hadn’t seen the same guy there, but my excitement changed upon arriving. Thankfully, I had gotten three bowls, the salmon, chicken, and beef bowls, for myself and my co-workers. A part of me wished I never encountered that disrespectful man again. Needless to say, it was good to have gone back for one of my favorite dishes. Charcoal chicken should definitely respect people’s time and money when they come to spend their hard-earned cash. Food for thought.

This is a really good place to eat if you like stuff like rice bowls with all the toppings, love their steak and shrimp bowls. Let’s not forget the rotisserie chicken they sell. Delicious

My mom and I went here on opening day, and we both love the food. The chicken was flavorful, the sides were good, and the horchata was refreshing. Judging by the menu, it looks like they have some good choices. Suffolk needs more places like Charcoal Chicken where there’s a variety of options to choose from regarding food. We will come back.

The only thing I might change on this rating is service. Not due to poor service but to make other people understand. The staff i dealt with tonight on christmas was short and direct, with the genuine attitude that comes from one who knows their craft. The food surpassed my chef wife’s expectations and 3 kids cleared their plates. I have a new garunteed take out spot here in suffolk.

One of my favorite lunch spots in this area. I’ve never had anything served that was over or under cooked. Everything is delicious. I definitely recomend the chicken and rice bowl or the lamb gyro.

I normally love this place but yesterday on 10/15/25 I was sick with flu and ordered a chicken bowl on DoorDash. I put in the notes section I have a shellfish allergy and what do I see while eating my bowl?? SHRIMP!!! I called charcoal chicken and he act like he couldn’t understand me. I had to go to the ER while already being sick . They didn’t refund me and I would like my last $13 back
