First time coming here just passing through. I ordered the Mac and cheese fried whiting fish, yams, and the collard greens. The fish was extremely good, Fresh hot and crispy! The customer service was also very good! The woman was super nice and accommodating. If I’m in the area I’d definitely come back despite the haters in the parking lot trying to deter us from ordering here. You would think black people could learn and understand how to support one another and stick together as much as possible now a days! Especially in 2024! Wasn’t a good look but I pray that this business continues to prosper! Very satisfied with my meal. Thanks again!

Second visit. This time, we had chicken wings, greens, dirty rice, and baked beans. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! However, I wasn’t aware it was a bar, so no sit down area, with tables, just the bar area but I didn’t care LOL.

Once again judge for yourself. Reviews can be bias sometimes. We don’t have many soul food restaurants in Toledo, so the ones we have be be judged honestly. Highly disappointed. Cake as well as corn bread dry very stale. Ribtips the worst I’ve ever had including barbecue sauce. I liked greens and macaroni. Honestly I can cook better then the chef. at this establishment. But in positive side I’m very appreciative of receiving my complete order and utensils, napkins. Most restaurants unable to do provide simple services such as this. So thank you for that.

I haven’t even taste my food yet, but I definitely want to rate my service!!! Thumbs down. Big time. The lady was rude on the phone when we called to see if they were even open. Then we get there she talking all short and dry. We ordered 3 meals, when asked if my food could be in a separate bag she told me we had to look through them n separate them ourselves. Would have taken two secs to ask the cook who JUST passed her the meals which was which. For a first encounter I don’t think I will be back.
