Imagine time traveling back to the 60s or 70s to visit your favorite hippie aunt’s or uncle’s home then enjoying a craft cocktail or a fresh local draft beer. This place is dripping with charm and covered in tchotchkes. Instantly our favorite bar in Asheville. Came for the vibes and I all I got was gayer. Love this place!

Lots of space with a nice mix of private spots for cozy close conversations and open areas for a bigger group. The huge outdoor patio must be mentioned as well. This bar really has a lot to offer.

We went on a Sunday night at the end our trip to Asheville and the vibe was very calm. The bartenders were kind and responsible with IDing our group! Great atmosphere with comfortable seating. The espresso martini was delicious and not too creamy which I love!

Daytrip is my favorite place to go when visiting Asheville! Not only is this bar fierce, it’s also familiar, like grandma’s house back in the day. The perseverance of the owners to pick the pieces up and start over again after the storm is admirable. I love the memory wall dedicated to their first location. They are a safe place for any and all! I also love that they actively give back to the community and stand up for what is right! The drinks are delicious and love that they have food trucks occasionally!

Thrilled that DayTrip was able to open a new and bigger location in Asheville! Decor, drinks, service, vibes – all immaculate. The owners really care about their community and I will continue to support this small local biz, I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Kelly is my absolute favorite! She is so personable, every time I visit the bar and she’s working the atmosphere feels 10x more welcoming. One of my favorite bars in town. Great vibes. Amazing cocktails. And WONDERFUL bartenders. 10/10 recommend.

I truly transported back in time as we stepped into Daytrip. Your thoughtfulness & hard work shine through in every detail. I went with the Aspen Summer mocktail, a little sweet with a kick yet refreshing. The perfect place for casual conversation, catching up, or date night.

The cutest bar ever. The bartenders are the best. Drinks are delish, such a creative menu. If you need a bite to eat, grab a charcuterie box. I will definitely visit this bar whenever I come back to town.

My friends and I visited Asheville, and DayTrip was our first bar.

The atmosphere of the place is very beautiful. I felt like it was a safe place, especially for the LGBTQ+ community. I have several friends in the community, and I thought it was a great place for them to enjoy with me. Nothing was out of place, the walls had incredible designs, and let me tell you, it was the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever been in, and beautiful too. (Be careful, if you’re someone who feels unsafe, go with someone. I did it alone without a problem because the environment allowed it. However, they are unisex bathrooms with two stalls and one urinal, so you might see something you didn’t want to.) But again, my experience was extremely safe.

About the drinks and service:
You have to order at the bar. There were two bartenders, a woman and a man. The woman perhaps hadn’t had a good day because she didn’t make drinks like the other, and she wasn’t as friendly either. That made the difference. The man made us drinks that tasted fantastic. We even had repeat drinks and decided that one of us would order the woman’s drink and the other the man’s, and the flavor changed significantly (I think this is something that shouldn’t happen). Some drinks were a bit sweet for my taste. My friends and I ordered different ones to try and we repeated some we liked. All in all, it’s a good place.

The bartender told us they’ve only been open for two months and the truth is they don’t have much room for improvement. If they keep this up, they’ll be incredible.

Exterior:
Be careful if you go late at night, as it’s a bit crowded. Don’t go alone, but definitely, you have to go! 100% recommended.
