Food was super hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. Mac and cheese and yams was so good and to be honest I specialize in these two sides in my household so I’m super picky when it comes to them. Big cuddos to the chef ❤️. Lastly and most importantly the customer service is hospitality was top tier for that alone they will continue to get my business . Columbus we definitely have a hidden Jem definitely must try!!!

Terrible quality and taste! I got the wings and fries. I asked for Chicago mild sauce, That didn’t come. I wanted to try their Kool-Aid and received a small bottle of simply lemonade! The wings were salty, this place was not good at all! The reply says “Your order was mishandled” Well partner with DoorDash and have them remove that you have sauce available, And that you serve Kool-aid! Shldnt matter if I’m in person or getting it on DoorDash, It should be accurate!

Food is amazing, Ngl the surf & turf is where it’s at. I am not even a chicken person but these wings fire this is my second time coming here. The owner is very kind and understanding. Fixed my order for me personally/ he went out of his way to make sure my order was right. I’ve never experienced someone care so much about their customers. Definitely a place I would come back to in the future the employees were super kind. This place is Halal too kosher!!

If I could subtract a star I would.Arrived at 735 to be told they were only taking online orders which shut off at 730 it was 735 and I called at 659 prior to commuting and no answer.placed order online received a call 5 which was a 730 online shut off line 5 min after order was placed to advise me they were out of half if what I ordered which was OK we discussed replacement options which one including fries received the pics shown very disappointed waste of drive time and money called this place to discuss and still no response. Got home to pics shown.BE AWARE paid 59 bucks for this absolutely not.replacements she discussed were not granted. One sign read open another read closed they mentioned they take orders via doordash which was why I had to drive very disappointed so much for trying to support something new it looks NOTHING like their social media.Cant call and cant place order online to guarantee accuracy either but they take your money and you get whatever they chose to give you.so much trying to SUPPORT
UPDATE 6/26/25 Per my conversation with the owner he was very apogetic about my previous experience and wanted to make it right. I went back and received my actual order pictured which was fresh and made to order, small side portions. The environment was restaurant was very welcoming enjoyed some throwbacks while I waited i would try them again.The cashier was very sweet. Very pleased with the owner wanting to listen an address the situation professionally. Mac was cheesy and peppery the yams were delicious . Updated pics posted.

My mom wanted to try their fried oysters. I ordered over the phone and initially requested the fish and oyster platter. I called back in 2 mins to cancel the Platter and just get the oysters. They confirmed everything was OK and the total would be 12 dollars. I got to the location. They were being very rude to the door dash customers. One of the other customers was told to “cancel the order because this ain’t fast food”. Another customer tried to make a purchase with a fifty dollar bill. He yelled in the back for change for a fifty. No one had change so he was going to run to Popeyes to get change. Was my turn to order I was informed my oysters are about to be dropped. I tried to pay and i was told the price of the oyster platter. I informed the cashier that I called in to cancel the fish over the phone less than one min after placing the order. He called for someone from the back who walked up on me and told me I was going to buy the 30 dollar platter because he already dropped the fish. I informed him that the cashier told me they were dropping my order now. The man from the back tried to gaslight me and tell me he already dropped the fish, he then made comments about his inventory being messed up so i was not able to buy the oysters solo. I politely informed him that all I wanted was the oysters and I have no plans on purchasing fish especially because I called to cancel the fish immediately after placing the order. Some wonderful woman interjected and offered to pay the difference for the fish and I could get the oysters for 12 dollars. This is absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Very unprofessional. The staff is very disrespectful and rude. I was hoping bad service would be balanced out by good food….. I was wrong. My mom couldn’t even eat the oysters. She told me they were the worst she had which is why I’m writing this review. I want a refund but I’ll be calling my bank, I refuse to deal with anyone that rude and disrespectful. Still cant believe someone thought they could tell me that I’m going to buy something i dont want like I couldn’t just walk away and take my business somewhere else. I will never be returning to this establishment.

Terrible experience. Order was all messed up.. They did not have a food that we ordered. I tried to switch to another order. The lady told me she cannot refund the money because she don’t know how. At the same time. I never received my pop. I ordered banana pudding. They took my money. And told me later they never had any banana pudding. That they were out. But they can’t refund my money. Because she don’t know how. I spoke to the owner. He constantly ghost me. Don’t wanna refund the money. This place is the worst experience ever had. I suggest you don’t fool with them.

Dawn’s Fish and Chicken deserves every bit of praise. I am extremely picky about soul food because I grew up on real Southern cooking and most places simply do not measure up in Central Ohio (and believe me, I’ve tried them all!). This spot hit the mark in every way. Their deals are unbelievable. They had one dollar wings for game day along with BOGO meals that included catfish, chicken and even fried lobster. I ordered wings, mac and cheese and collard greens and everything was amazing. The wings were perfectly crispy, the mac tasted like home and the greens were fresh and seasoned beautifully. Most places shortcut and use canned greens but not here. I am so glad I gave this place a try. This is officially my new favorite soul food spot and i highly recommend !
Update: had to come back and update this because I got dessert but hadn’t tried it when writing the review, but the banana pudding deserves its own shoutout. I’m always nervous trying banana pudding anywhere new because so many places hit you with that artificial “laffy taffy” banana flavor. Not here. This tastes authentic with fresh cream, real ingredients, and zero shortcuts. Absolutely delicious. I love this place and can’t wait to come back for more.

9/12 was my first and last experience. I placed a pick up order via Doordash and got a glimpse of the kitchen when I arrived to pick it up. The walls and floor were filthy! Electric outlet hanging out of the wall. The cook had a mask but it was halfway on. Didn’t have gloves. I didn’t taste the food. It didnt seem safe to eat there. I canceled my order immediately.
