If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is a dump. The ceiling looks like it could fall through at anytime and is also leaking. One of our orders was 2 waffles, they gave us one good one and one burnt to a crisp one that they tried to hid under the good one. The waitress seemed rude about us asking for another one not burnt. My order had bacon on it and I had to wait 10 minutes after I got my food for her to come back to even ask where my bacon was. They were busy with some fish buffet but that shouldn’t have been an excuse not to take care of your customers. We will not be coming back. I don’t see how that dirty falling down place hasn’t been shut down by the health department yet.

I wanted to elaborate on this. I rarely meet such welcoming and warm people when I hit up small diners like this. I came in for a quick breakfast, as I had a meeting close by. I grabbed some food from the buffet to go, and when I tried to pay, I found that they do not take any cards at all. It is cash only.
I traveled there from Canada, and did not have any US currency, and there was not a bank close enough for me to get there on time for my meeting.
Not sure the name of the person working, but she said that I could just take the food, and offered me a coffee to go as well. She said she couldn’t have me leave hungry. I have never had that happen before, and her offering this to some out of towner that she doesn’t know, or possibly would ever see again….plus I was in a nice car and well dressed (looking like I should be able to afford it), and rarely do I receive any acts of charity looking like that.
I wanted to thank them, and I am traveling back to Marmaduke for another meeting next month. I will definitely bring some USD, and will definitely stop in for a breakfast and tip them heavily.
Great example of good ole’ small town American hospitality.

I can’t speak for the buffet even though it looked great. I had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and I was more than stuffed when I left. The burger was just like I like it, big thick slice of tomato and I didn’t have to order it that way. Mom pop shop at its finest and I will be back. I didn’t catch my waitresses name but she was a sweetheart to boot.

Went for lunch on a work day, cockroach on the table when I sat down, no one offered a menu. I don’t know what the smell is in the restaurant, but it’s assaulting. I don’t think the place has been cleaned in a long time. I ate at the buffet, if you can call it that. The wings were decent, but I didn’t eat anything else at the buffet since I wasn’t even sure what some of the stuff was, or if it was sanitary, or fresh. Ive eaten at a lot of places, and I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a place as run down, gross, and horrible food as this place. I felt like Gordon Ramsay was about to walk in and shut the place down. I’m sure the regular food is better than the buffet, I hope.
Went to Chester’s afterwards and got a burrito since I was still hungry because they stopped putting food out on the buffet.

the ladies are very friendly, awesome service. we’d been working local and had been gone for 4 months due to weather. when we returned the waitress remembered our drink order after 4 months. highly impressed. awesome home cooked menu!
