So fresh and so yummy! I ordered the Sakura roll and tuna roll. It’s located in a cool food truck lot and parking was easy. Will definitely go back! I’m so impressed!!

Stop what you’re doing and go. Freshest sushi I’ve ever had in Austin, yes .. including the expensive places. We got the Hawaiian roll, Sakura roll, and The Ruth is on Fire roll and legit not a single miss in the bunch. Fish was fresh and flavorful WITHOUT ANY hint of that old sea taste – avocado was perfection – and the real star of this show was some sort of magic sauce they poured on top of two of the rolls. When I say it knocked our socks off – believe me!

My favorite sushi spot in North Austin, can’t recommend their Waikiki Roll enough. Fantastic stuff and the folks that run the food truck are lovely people.

Food truck sushi sounds super sketchy, but this place is actually pretty good!
I ordered the Sakura roll and the shrimp tempura, both were presented beautifully and tasted fresh. They had so much flavor I didn’t even use soy sauce.
I came on a Friday in the middle of the day and the whole park was empty, so there was plenty of parking.
This isn’t near me, but I would definitely come again.

Some of the best sushi in Austin. We ordered gyozas, garlic edamame, the Barton springs , and the Hawaiian roll. You can tell the food was cooked from scratch and very fresh. We will definitely be back.

The bento box was great before but now for some reason I just taste jalapeno in everything including the dragon roll I got. Which means all you taste is jalapeno. Fine for a state like oregon that has no taste buds but in austin I expect a bit more. I hope they go back to the old way of making it soon. Will check back in a couple months and maybe change my review.

Dawa Sushi is a food truck located in a food truck park, with plenty of picnic tables scattered around for dining. It seems to be run by an older Korean couple, which adds a charming, homey touch.

We stopped by on a Friday for lunch and took advantage of their happy hour (available before 3 PM). We ordered the Dawa Roll Combo for $16.50, which includes two classic rolls and your choice of a half specialty roll (Barton Springs, Zilker Park, Spicy Onion Crunchy, or Phoenix). We went with the Crunch Roll (avocado, cucumber, crab meat, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and crunchy flakes), Eel Roll (baked eel, avocado, cucumber, eel sauce, and sesame seeds), and the Zilker Park Roll (crab meat and avocado, topped with more avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and sesame seeds).

While all the rolls were good and tasted fresh, they leaned on the simpler side and had fairly similar flavor profiles. The Zilker Park Roll was my favorite of the three.

The food took about 10–15 minutes to come out, and everything tasted fresh and light. After eating, we brought our plate back up to the counter. We plan on coming back to try some of their other rolls, especially the ones with fish.

Excellent sushi in an unexpected location. Dawa is a food truck in a funky food trailer park off Burnet. Which belies the level of food you are about to experience.
The venue and the service are the epitome of no frills.

All the effort. All the attention. All the care. That goes to the food.

My kids loved the mixed options platter where my son discovered a love for octopus .

There are many sit down establishments that charge quite a bit more that could stand to learn from this humble but mighty food truck.

The gyoza were a huge hit as well.

We will be back.

(There is a shared Playground: it is oddly and very unsafely situated within the parking lot while nice to have a playground be careful of cars immediately outside the play area – this is no fault of the business it is owned by the space they rent from – but parent beware.)

Always super fresh and delicious. This time it was pouring raining/hailing and we ran to sit in the car. The staff then brought the meal to our car which was above and beyond and so kind. A great staple for easy sushi and always hits the spot!

It was wonderful. It is a food truck in a little food truck park but overall these guys are doing amazing things with what they have!

The salmon was buttery, fresh, and melted in my mouth.

I was about to spend more money, but the lady taking my order told me to turn the menu over and showed me some cheaper deals that had exactly what I was in the mood for!

Then, while I was eating, I looked up and noticed they were both peeking around the corner to make sure I liked it!

Overall, a very wholesome and warm experience with delicious food. 10/10 will return.

Oh, and I had the Sakura roll + happy hour special (4 pieces salmon nigiri + a California roll that’s not like any other California roll I’ve ever had – it was big!)
