Classic New Jersey old school, hot dog joint. It does everything you would expect and more. The special hot dogs, I got the Italian version, are absolutely massive and come in a giant hoagie roll with sausage peppers, and Homestyle potatoes inside. They also serve beer. It’s a great stop by the side of the road. Highly recommended.

The service was quick and the staff were very friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. The hotdog, however, had too much ketchup and relish, which made it soggier than I would have preferred. With a lighter touch on the toppings, I think it would have been more enjoyable.
The burger, on the other hand, was a nice surprise. It was well priced, came with the right amount of condiments, and tasted good overall. I appreciated the fast service and the value offered. Coffees and hot chocolate for a dollar is also a steal so I’d recommend a visit.

A hot dog place in a Swiss chalet!!! My 1st time eating here and I am definitely coming back. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming and the owner, David, made my day. The food is made FRESH daily, I ordered two Texas hot dogs deep fried. They were delicious. This restaurant is run with love and David really cares about what he does and makes sure his customers leave happy and satisfied. 10 stars from me!

1st time visit was great. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He explained why he decorated the restaurant with the decor it has and that it was to honor his father, a serviceman and hero. They had beautiful pictures with a lot of history. The hot dogs were great, the chili/cheese French fries were delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit! Very dog friendly in the outside area. Thank you

Davy’s is awesome.1st time here and I love it. The food was so fresh, the hotdogs were amazing. The French fries were perfect and not soggy. The girl at the counter was so friendly and sweet. I met Dave the owner and he gave me the run down on how he got into the business. I have to respect an owner like this. He won’t let you leave disappointed. I will be back.

Volcano Dog (Chili, Potato, Red Peppers, Jalapenos, & Red Hot) at Davy’s Hot Dogs, a minute off Route 80 in Mt. Arlington. Lots of great combinations to choose from. Love the nostalgic feel as you walk in. Overall a solid spot in the Morris County market place for a decent dog that won’t break the bank.

I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon at about 3:00 p.m., so I avoided some crowds.
I went inside.
I found this place, just passing through the area the highway sign caught my eye, and I thought it might hit the spot.
Turns out it was indeed, a great little stop.
The parking lot is a little bit small compared to my full-size Transit van, but I’m still was able to find an easy parking spot.
I browse the menu a little bit before I walked in but I was still a little unsure of what I wanted so I needed some time.
The staff was totally accommodating.
Then once I ordered I was amazed at how fast my food was ready to go…
I got a pierogi dog and a breakfast sandwich and they were delicious.
I was initially thinking that the hot dog could have been bigger,
But when I was done I felt it was the exact right amount needed, for my afternoon.
Thanks for the great food and great stop and I’ll remember this place next time I’m passing through.

Stopped here for the first time today with my family. Let’s just say everything was amazing. Large portion of frys and onion rings!!! The sink- hole dog was AMAZING !! The owner was the nicest guy I have ever met! Loved his stories and hearing about the history of the building, his dad, and the celebrities that have stopped by! We will be back! ❤️

8/4/25 finally stopped in for lunch. It’s a been a few years since I was last here & usually i hit the drive-thru. This time i decided to take a moment and eat inside.
Got my regular dogs with chilli cheese and onions + the best fries around and a drink. Got to talk to Dave as well.
Nice guy and I’m so happy he is still crankin out great food!
I didn’t realize they had beer (good stuff too!) and some other fun drinks.
Don’t forget the ice cream!
Such a very cool old school place.
Everyone should stop in and go in for a meal.
Next traffic jam on 80, in this area, I’m stopping in and waiting it out with another hot dog or two!
