I kept seeing this restaurant pop up on my Facebook feed, and since I was in town for Christmas, I decided to try it for a nice holiday dinner.
The ambiance was fine and the service was good—no complaints there. Unfortunately, the food itself was underwhelming, and the overall experience fell short of expectations.
When I arrived for my 5:15 PM reservation, I learned they were offering a prix fixe menu, which I wasn’t expecting. That said, it was Christmas, so I completely understood. However, two of the entrées that I do eat were already sold out, leaving limited options—especially disappointing given the $75 price point. Three of the remaining entrées were items I don’t eat.
The same thing happened with dessert. The one dessert I could and would eat was also sold out, leaving me again with choices I don’t normally eat. At that point, with it being Christmas and no other reservations available elsewhere, my options were slim to none, so I settled for what was offered.
I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer—things happen, especially on holidays—but my first visit was a miss for me. I may give them another shot before I leave town, hoping for a better experience on a regular service night.

I enjoyed my experience❤️The food, drinks and service was awesome. I celebrated my birthday. The live band was also great. The only issue was they charged a $5.00 a person cake fee which was not posted on open table nor did the server let me know in advance.

Just had an amazing dinner. My server Benjamin was very professional of course. Everything was perfect. Arrived on a Wednesday evening just before 6 PM and the crowd wasn’t here yet. Did see some people coming in later so I know to come early next time. There is parking on the side but I’m not sure where to park if it is full in the parking lot to the left of the building. Anyway, here are my photos of what I had. I was happy to take some of my food home and I bet it’s gonna taste even better later! In the photos are: Mo’s Peach-Tini, perfectly balanced; Savannah’s Chipotle Cornbread, yummy – not your average cornbread; Caribbean Mussels – tastier than expected and definitely a must-try; Halibut with Crabmeat yesss; and Down South Coconut Cake. Enjoy!

Great place, great food, great drinks, and great service. Kassidee did a great job in checking up on us. Jason, the bartender, also did a great job at the bar. I recommend this place for a night out with your spouse or friends.

The atmosphere and food were exceptional! Our waiter was new, and would be the only thing to complain about.

We loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Great wait staff, we were please with our server Kenny. My dish was delicious, I chose the Halibut and Crab which was amazing! I didn’t particularly care for the Charbroiled Oysters. The Sticky Ribs were also delicious. We will definitely be returning!

Outstanding!!!!
I hosted a corporate networking event here mid November and couldn’t have been happier! The venue offers a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for professional gatherings. The décor is modern yet comfortable, and the layout allowed for easy mingling among guests. The staff was attentive and accommodating. From our very first conversation till the wrap up of the event, they ensured everything ran smoothly.
Our event was a success, thanks in large part to the professionalism and hospitality of the Davis St staff. I would highly recommend Davis St at Hermann Park for corporate events, business dinners or an occasion requiring a refined setting and exceptional service.

We were greeted by Benjamin when we entered and he was our server. Benjamin provided a history lesson as well excellent service. The cornbread and gumbo made for a terrific start. The pork chop and brussel sprouts were delicious. The atmosphere was inviting. We will be back!!

If you are visiting Houston and do not mind spending a little more on a fine meal, visit Davis’s St at Hermann Park! This was my first time visiting while in the area and I was impressed ! From the waiter to the food, it was a memorable experience. There was a special going on so we got a three course meal for $55. I had the Korean beef wraps, which were good although I prefer more sauce, then I had the pork chop dinner which was perfect … absolutely perfect; flavorful, hot, and a hearty pork chop. My table also ordered the fried rice hopping John (oh my gosh!, it was so good!) and the Mac -n-cheese (best Mac I’ve had at a restaurant in a LONG TIME). For dessert I had the key lime cheese cake, I was so full I couldn’t finish dessert. I will
Most definitely be back!
