In 1985, at the young & ambitious age of 24, Steve DiFillippo purchased a locally-owned family restaurant called Davio’s on Newbury Street in Boston’s trendy Back Bay. As Boston’s culinary tastes evolved, he transformed the location into a destination. He retooled the menu, the space & wine list. The new Davio’s garnered rave reviews. Everything is made by hand from the best ingredients. We serve aged steaks to simple-yet-unique pasta creations. A great place. Our food was perfectly cooked and great quality. It wasn’t really busy when we went so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were very nice. They give you free popovers which are delicious. You can get any pasta dish as an appetizer as well.

I didn’t get my drink until mid-meal and the crab cakes leave something to be desired (old bay) but otherwise the food was amazing. Was a first going here. It’s definitely an experience. Definitely recommend the cold seafood tower! The service also leaves something to be desired, as my date had to flag multiple people for my drink.

We came in for a late dinner around the holidays, quite excited for the upscale steak restaurant, but the upscale quickly faded away with the service. For the prices they change we really expected slightly above average attention and we didn’t get that. Our server didn’t come back to our table for quite long time while we wanted to order wine with our steak. By the time he arrived we almost finished the meal, didn’t even get his attention during the enjoyment-of-food part. They weren’t busy at all, and we had to get attention of someone else walking by to get basic things. Was disappointed. The food was great, and the cocktails were extremely overpriced. They really need to keep on training for this level of dining. I think we got more attention at Silver Diner than we did here.

We just dined here after our son`s wedding and it was a wonderful experience. Our main waiter was Patricio and he expertly took care of all our requests. He even brought gluten free bread to the table for my Mother In Law.The whole staff went the extra mile to make this more of an event than just a night out. The Flat Iron steak was truly awesome and our son had the Filet Mignon which he said was excellent. Everyone at our table loved the experience…I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We visited Davio’s for the first time this Sat night. We are so glad we did. Professional friendly staff, amazing food, and service. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our favorite place in the area for steak and seafood is D.C. Prime. This is right up there with them. We will be back soon! Thank you.

I have been to 3 different locations, and this one by far has the best service. The whole team took care of us during dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly. The only thing I did not like was the brussle sprouts. They were very bitter. I would highly recommend a visit here. The outdoor seating is a perfect touch to this location.

Great experience at the Davios in Reston at the bar as well as the special seating for larger groups. The staff are settling in at the relatively new restaurant in the area but have been trained well to offer the best to the customers. Quality of the drinks was great. This restaurant will be one of the go to places in Reston for special occasions as well as a casual work lunch.
