I order from here quite often, I do always feel like their meat is a little undercooked.. So I opt out on getting the steak for quite some time.. Even the chicken could be cooked a little bit longer. But I just ordered a steak plate Yesterday had a craving… How many times can one get it wrong? You know, maybe this was the one time that they actually cooked it well done…and i once again requested well done. And this is what I opened when I got home.. mind you it was the first time I ate all day. I was starving. I was really craving a nice, well done steak. It’s so sad that I had to butterfly it myself and put it in a pan and cook it (when the whole reason of ordeing takeout was so I didn’t have to cook and dirty any pans) the rest of the way but not only that, this is supposed to be filet Mignon right?, and I feel like it’s the worst filet Mignon i’ve ever tasted, it actually tastes like liver.It has a very livery taste.. And the first time and second time I ever got it from here, it tasted amazing..perfectly cooked…And I feel like every time since either they changed their meat vendor or whatever the case is, but the fact that my meat was this pink and taste like liver…no flavor whatsoever.. I asked for well done, just does not sit okay with me especially when I have two children under 5, i’m tired.I just wanted to eat a good meal.I didn’t want to have to cook it back up myself. And then let’s not even talk about the price like for the price Im paying my meat should be cooked all the way through not like it was just butchered off the cow bleeding.

Delicious Portuguese dishes (and Spanish/American) with friendly service. Portion sizes a perfect compromise between European and American…enough to feel satisfied but not stuffed. Oh, and totally underrated is the free bread with olive oil for dipping. I could have eaten ten of those mini loaves!

Return trip to Davids. Went with David’s Lobster Ravioli with shrimp and a side of rice again. Has been consistently good. Previously had a Hazy IPA on draft and coconut shrimp appetizer. Have also had stuffed shrimp, steak plate and chicken Mozambique in the past. Everyone had walked away happy. Calamari appetizer is okay. Usually get the standard sauce on the side and a sweet Asian chili sauce as well. Parking isn’t always the greatest. They do have a small lot behind the building. Street parking is tight and limited.

I was looking for a restaurant where I could take my mom for her birthday lunch. We decided to try David’s restaurant. On arrival, the place was completely dead. That should have been the first sign. My mom ordered Chicken Madeira, which was tasteless, and circle fries that were burnt to a crisp. I spoke up, and they offered regular fries, which were worse. The oil was old, and the fries smelled like old cooking oil. I had ordered a steak sandwich, which was extremely small, and I had asked for the sandwich without pepper, but it still was spicy and hot. The onions that were on it clearly were together at some point. Our waitress was not very attentive. I wouldn’t bother with this place. I would have literally had a better meal at Wendys. The worst $50 dinner I’ve had in a long time

Highly Recommend this spot!! Super clean inside, the waitress was on point. Update: Came back to try more: Mozambique fries were amazing, spinach chicken pizza so good and fresh and mozz sticks were yummy. The first time we came we ordered buffalo chicken as an appetizer, also got complimentary bread which was so fresh and soft inside. He ordered Bifana sandwich he says it is the best he has had in this city!! I ordered fish & chips. The fish was fresh and hot and delicious! I didn’t care for the fries. Our bill was $35 the first time and was worth every penny.

Only order take out so can’t attest to the service or atmosphere, love the crunch of the round fries, wouldn’t order the philly cheesesteak again, barely had any meat in it. And the meat it had was tough. Definitely not worth the price charged

I always have a really nice time when I go into David’s, I usually go when it’s not really busy it seems. The staff is always very friendly especially at the bar, which is the only place I have sat while going there lol
I’ve never had a disappointing meal from there. Everything seems to have a lot of flavor and is well presented and is cooked very well, never to dry or anything like that. But I will say their drinks are a little too sweet for me. They’re margaritas are made with orange juice, which I personally find to be a crime against margaritas haha but that just could be a preference of a lot of their regulars. Something important to consider when making food and drinks for other people is to keep in mind what your guests want not what “You” want

Went for the first time today and my food my delicious. Great place for Portuguese food and seafood. I noticed they had a fairly large kids menu as well so I’ll be coming back with my daughter. Service and drinks were good as well. No complaints.

Our dining experience started with a warm and friendly greeting from Nicole. Her service was outstanding. We started with Portuguese bread with oil and then munched on the best clam fritters. Our main courses were Fried Scallops and Portuguese Steak. My wife’s scallops were perfectly cooked as was my steak. If you are in the north end of NB and looking for a great place for a couple to eat, this is the place.

Visited with my Massachusetts family from Alabama and they brought me here for lunch on Memorial Day. Service was a bit slow but the food was phenomenal. I had the baked stuffed scallops with a vegetable blend and mashed potatoes. This will definitely be a spot I would frequent if I was a local. My family says it is one of their favorites!
