Not a fan.
Had breakfast.
Bacon ordered well done, was far from done and floating in grease.
The eggs, how can eggs float in grease? And they were over cooked on the edges with runny white. Order over medium.
Ordered my toast dry and I received 2 pieces of bread- untoasted. They didn’t know what “dry” meant, could of asked though. Fair enough- they don’t butter any toast…but untoasted is dry to the cook? Ok.
Crew did not have their act together at all for a Sunday morning.
Food didn’t look appetizing and wasn’t.
Think we’ll call this visit one time and done.

The BBQ and the service are the key points. The dining room is where it happens. There are many BBQ places in Gainesville, but Davids offers meals priced everyone. Their specials represent huge value.

It was our first experience dining here. Their sliced pork was delicious, their onion rings were awesome, their corn nuggets were great, and their mac and cheese was creamy. Everything we ate was perfect. Their personality at the front counter was delightful. The restaurant had plenty of seating and was very clean. We will certainly return soon. Smiles

I stopped at this location for breakfast per the great reviews. I ordered the BLT with grits and a sweet tea. The BLT had no mayo on it which is always how that sandwich is prepared in the south. The grits were so bland and not fixed in a southern manner either. They had no seasoning and tasted like just plain grits in water. I so could teach them how to make amazing grits. The tea was perfect and the service was great which is why I gave it two stars.

We used David’s to cater and provide decor for our wedding in October 2024 and we could not have asked for a better experience. Bobby was fantastic to work with and he worked tirelessly to accommodate any food or decor needs we had. Nothing at our wedding got more compliments than the food. Our guests commented that it was the best prime rib they had ever had at a wedding, and all of our appetizers were a huge hit. As far as set up and clean up went, Bobby and his team were very efficient. It was such a relief not having to worry about things like setting up decor. Bobby is very thorough and made sure he knew exactly what we wanted during our wedding workshop. From that point on, he just worked his magic and everything turned out just how we imagined! Throughout the whole process he was very accessible and was always quick to answer any of our emails. We could not recommend them enough!

Taylor was who took my order. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The two piece dark chicken with two sides was suggested. I took the suggestion, and selected the steak fries and corn nuggets as my sides with corn bread. Chicken was hot and well seasoned, steak fries were also. Corn nuggets and cornbread were also hot and delicious. If you are in Gainesville and near NW 39th Ave, check this place out.

I just wish there sauces were a little better, there breakfast is delicious and there coffee is awesome! So after all this time, I tried it again! I got the jumbo sandwich plate with greens and baked beans! Pulled pork sandwich! It was delicious! I’m so glad I tried it again and I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Sign up for birthday surprises. Received free dinner and drink and dessert and had 30 days to use gift note. Beans and Mac were very good. Brisket was a little dry but sauces were perfect. Very nice staff. Can dine in.
