Second visit, October, 2019: The menu was smaller and far less interesting; dishes all very similar and clearly catering to the gluten free and vegan crowd with all but one item being gf. Those limitations, imposed either by the market or ownership, shows in the mostly boring and simplistic menu and flavors now offered. At least there was no live music this time. If you wish to indulge your psychosomatic gluten allergy at $30 a plate, enjoy.

First visit: Four out of five of our party had the burger and it was excellent, but it should be for a $20 burger. The fries were very good; a small thing, but a nice detail. Starters were decent, the mussels tasty, as were the clams. Pear and cheese flatbread was nice. The cheese plate was good, but rather sparse. In general everything was a bit overpriced for the quality. I would not recommend they reduce prices; the space is small and tabs need to be on the high side to make a go of it, just improve the quality to match the prices.

The real downside of the dinner was the music. Very out of place blues music of questionable quality and at a conversation spoiling high volume.

Awesome lunch experience! Hadn’t been here in a while since they opened, but this was a stellar meal: the mussels were fresh and plump, in a tasty broth; the quiche was light and fluffy…and the picture is of what is by far the best BLT I’ve ever had. Great, friendly service and a perfect lunch.

Wife and I stopped in on a lark and had an enjoyable experience on a Sunday night. Many eateries can have an off night on Sunday evenings – these guys were on. Service was great. Our crab cakes (shared app) was good – just a couple flakes of shell which wasn’t too much of an issue. I had their Pad Thai which was excellent. My wife had a shrimp/rice dish which she thoroughly enjoyed. She asked for spicy…and got it. I’m a fan of thoughtful, compact wine lists and they have one here. They pretty much touch all the bases from regions, varietals and blends and a good breadth of textures. They are expensive…but our QPR at the end of a lovely day in Midd made it a worthwhile indulgence.

Service was good, food was quality on our visit. I was part of a large group and the staff handled our orders well. The facility is a little small which tends to make the environment a bit noisy. But good food nicely prepared and presented is the focal point of any restaurant review. I will return to Coriander on my next visit to the area.

We have had several meals at this restaurant. All the food has been thoughtfully prepared, tasty and well presented. Lunch prices are within reason of other local establishments. Dinner though higher is not out of bounds. The service is terrific. Plan on going back again.

Service was really good and the food was deliciously amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and very quaint. Such a beautiful place. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I just got married last weekend and stopped in for dinner. They made us feel very special. We really liked sitting in the window. ❤️

Our meals at Coriander have been excellent. We’ve been several times and always enjoyed every bite. Most recently we ordered steak tips with garlic mashed potatoes and sesame ginger stir fry with chicken. Delicious! The wine pairings were just right. Dessert was outstanding. There were three choices: tiramisu, cheesecake, and German chocolate cake. We got all three. The cheesecake was wonderful with a nice graham cracker crust and a berry topping. The tiramisu was some of the best we’d ever had (and we’ve eaten a lot). The filling was so thick and fluffy, and the ladyfingers were delicate, freshly infused coffee masterpieces. The cake was moist and delicious, but the frosting…oh, the frosting. Fudgy, creamy, richness to fill your mouth with joy.

There are few things on this planet that tick me off more than feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. For the price that Coriander was asking for, I expected every food item they served to be cooked to perfection and presentable. In reality, every item was far from it… Not even one bite of our calamari starter had any crisp at all to it, and by the time that we were done with it, there was a pool of oil in the appetizer plate. For our entrees, I had the paddock and my partner had the salmon. Both were undercooked, and the chips that came with my paddock were floppy and, although they tasted good, resembled oil sponges. Severely disappointing and for the price we paid, almost offensive.

One of the worst done and expenses I have them in vt. From beginning to end, we sat in that poorly light dining room for 2 1/2 hours. There was a musician playing music far too loud in that tiny room, we could hardly hear each other speak.
My nine dollar glass of wine was about three sips. When I questioned him the size of the pour I was told it “can vary up to 7 ounces.”
When I ordered my stir fry I was told it was medium spicy. I was told the spicy sauce would be mostly on the side. When it arrived, it was swimming in this sweet, very hot sauce. I returned it and 10 minutes later they replaced it with a, mediocre pasta dish. (which I ordered without chicken and was charged for the chicken). The kicker was, the kitchen had the audacity to charge me for both dishes even though the first dish was hardly touched. When I questioned it on the bill, I was told that the chef made it so I had to pay. Eventually they took it off. And they took the chicken off. Poor customer service. Slow service. Mediocre food.
My guests fish and chips was also mediocre. The fries were not at all tasty and mostly left behind.
I understand every restaurant may have a bad night, but it wouldn’t hurt them to offer us 2 ounces more of wine, or send the replacement dish on the house as the first test I had ordered was not edible. Something needs to change at this place won’t be here much longer.
