Perfect spot to cool down on a hot day! One of the largest menus of flavors I have ever seen at an ice-cream or sno-cone stand ever. We stopped in on our trip to Perdido Key and loved it! It’s within walking distance from many of the resorts and there is plenty of seating outside.

Meh. This place is good, if overpriced, when it’s actually open, but neither the hours on Google nor those listed on the building are ever accurate. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven over here when it’s supposed to be open only to find it’s not. Great weather, Saturday, Fall Break travel season…closed with no explanation. Incredibly frustrating. I guess the lack of competition means they feel like they can do whatever they want, but they could at least not post times they’re not going to stick to.

I love this place! Best snowballs around. And these are legitimate, New Orleans-style snowballs (or what some would refer as “snow cones”). But these are made with shaved ice and just the right amount of syrup in numerous flavors. Plus, you can get it “stuffed” (ice cream) or top it off with condensed milk, candy toppings or chocolate syrup.

I’ve been going here for years as a tradition with my family for icy treats after a day at the beach. When it was formerly known as “Da girlz place” the scoops of ice cream were a dollar and they would put an actual SCOOP of ice cream in upon request, even in the kiddie sizes. Here, you are required to get at least a small size to “make room for the ice cream”. Twice now, since I’ve visited this location I’ve literally been given a spoonful of ice cream, instead of a full scoop. I’m not sure if that’s a standard for this establishment or if it’s a disgruntled employee, but it’s not worth it to pay +$5.25 for a small cup of flavored ice with a smidgen of ice cream.

Pretty good and since we were staying in Orange Beach it was nice that there was no crowd and worth the short drive to Perdido Key.
That being said, it was just pretty good. If I was in the mood for another snowball, I wouldn’t rush immediately back here.

Dave’s Snowballs is fantastic! The prices are extremely cheap & there are so many flavors to choose from. They have classic flavors like cherry & blue raspberry, but I think what really makes them stand out is there flavor menu board of mixed syrup options like coconut and almond or tigers blood and mango passion fruit. They sometimes do special flavors like having a Star Wars flavor menu for May 4. There are picnic benches to sit at right next to the snow cone shack. It’s quick, it’s cheap and best of all, the snow cones are perfect on a hot day!

I am not a huge fan of sno cones. I came here for the kids. The employee was super sweet and had told us her favorite was yellow cake mix with sweetened condensed milk. I thought hmm I’ll give it a try. WOW WOW WOW! I am now addicted to sno cones ! I have been to three places since I left Perdido keys and I have not had one better. I can’t wait to come back next year because I will be visiting every day . To that sweet girl working that day THANK YOU THANK YOU! And if you’re reading this, you will not regret trying that flavor combo!
Update: We are back and have been multiple times!!! I have been to many many sno cone/sno ball/shaved ice places since last year (even all the way over in Hawaii), this is still my favorite place!! YELLOW CAKE AND SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK IS THE BEST!!!!

Great snow cones! Took my nieces and nephew for a snow cone after lunch today and they were delicious! We got Rockberry lemonade, watermelon, Coral Reef, and dipping dots. The kids enjoyed it as well as the adults, myself included! Thank you for taking such great care of us, Alexia! You were packed but got everyone’s treats out so quickly. And thanks for having chalk for the younger kiddos!

For years, I’ve come to this place. I have never found a flavor I didn’t like. They use the perfect amount of syrup to ensure perfection in every bite. I can’t recommend it high enough!
