Unfortunately had a horrible experience here. I placed an order for online pickup, the online ordering service provided an exact pickup time of 5:24 PM. I picked up the order precisely at that pickup time. I decided to eat the sandwich in the car as I was driving home and was utterly disappointed. The sandwich was soggy and cold, even though I ordered a “hot” sandwich. In fact, the wet quality of the sandwich resulted in a completely soaked through wrapping. I decided to call when I got home to respectfully ask for a refund. I was told by the pleasant cashier that he would ask his boss about this. However, when I received a call back later in the evening, a refund was refused. I was offered a remake of the sandwich, but to be honest to waste another 30 minutes of my time driving to and from the store is pretty disrespectful. Unfortunately, on the phone the cashier admitted that the sandwich had been prepared approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the pickup time, which certainly could explain the soggy and cold quality of the sandwich. Beware of online ordering.

Unfortunately owner response is simply not adequate. The more concerning aspect was the cold quality of the sandwich, which was cold upon pickup. If the pick up times provided by the online platform are lacking in accuracy, it is the restaurant’s responsibility to either (1) inform the customer that the item will be prepared about 10-15 mins in advance of the pickup time or (2) simply adjust the estimated pickup time for orders on the online platform. Additionally, I did not order oil on my sandwich. Seems like there was a mistake made on your part.

Cute little deli tucked in the Town shopping center. At very friendly staff a larger menu than expected with breakfast lunch and dinner items sandwiches wraps Pizza dessert chips specifically went for the New York Reuben and I was not disappointed.

Absolutely the best New York sandwiches you can get outside of New York. I got the hot pastrami sandwich and my lady got the roast beef sandwich(cold). Both were outstanding! If you’re in the Gainesville, FL area and that’s what you’re looking for, I highly recommend Dave’s.

I am a door dash driver and have picked up food here a few times. Being a New Yorker I wanted to try it out. I picked a breakfast order up and decided to get a breakfast sandwich for myself.
Boy was I dissapointed.
For $8 I got a fast food sandwich.
I did not expect a precooked egg that was microwaved instead of cooked on a grill like real New York breakfast sandwiches.
Look how pathetic and small it is.
I know food costs are high but this is outrageous for a pecooked fast food sandwich.
I’ll go back but only to pick up food for others.

Great deli! Today we had the Corned Beef Special and the Cheese steak- both were delcious. Dave’s New York Deli is our go-to whenever we’re in the area. Highly recommend!

I went and ordered a spicy deluxe and it honestly came out faster than it would at fast food restaurants and was actually spicy. The atmosphere was astounding and the workers on duty were very funny and very efficient when it came to getting my sandwich. The manager Courtney was very nice and ontop of getting stuff done as I ate my meal, while they did their closing duties.

Everyone in my party liked their food. However I was not impressed with the corned beef. I’m used to eating brisket at deli’s and as a former manager at Myron’s Deli at Harrah’s Casino in Pompano Beach, Fl. I know great deli. Sorry just mine personal preference.

Edit new visit on 6/10/23: Ordered food at 8:09am and got my food at 8:38am. Slowest I have ever seen it.
The gyro was decent, could have used some more meat. The ice cream was soft serve and good. The fries were so so, smelled great in there and looked just like a New York Deli with “boxes” everywhere. Super friendly staff even though it took a little bit longer than expected due to a fryer issue. Has a couple tables inside and outside too.

Honestly you cannot go wrong with the food here. It’s consistently good and always very tasty. I had the pesto chicken panini and my wife had the egg and cheese bagel. We both loved it! They have a fantastic pastrami sandwich too. If you want a hearty and filling meal, this place is a good choice.
