We have been dining at Dave’s for well over a year. They treat our families like their own, and always prepare the freshest salads. Breads. pastas. And Pizza when we come in. It is like going over to your Italian aunt who happens to be the best cook in family

Dave’s new kitchen is a small cozy place, with delicious food! The server was very likable and helpful. Took his suggestion and ordered the ravioli with Rose sauce: amazing taste! Definitely recommend this sauce with whatever you’d like to eat. The bread was fresh! Nice wine. The food came out very fast! Be careful as this small restaurant so close to the campus may get filled quickly in busy hours.

This is my absolutely favorite dinner place in Evanston as a Northwestern student. You really get your money’s worth here at Dave’s — and a tip: get shrimp along with your pasta rose, the flavor is amazing. Also, the $3.50 garlic bread is a steal

The pumpkin bisque and eggplant parmesan were awesome. Love smaller businesses. A little busy but still attentive. Have patience and you’ll enjoy some great food.

Honestly this is the blandest pasta I’ve ever eaten. I can’t speak to their other menu items but I definitely would not recommend eating their pasta. I made an online order for the build your own pasta with angel hair, alfredo, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, and spinach…I was excited initially until I ate it. Literally THE blandest thing I’ve eaten. No salt, pepper, garlic or any other seasoning. Paid $27 dollars through Grubhub for what…never again, completely disappointed.Would’ve given them zero stars if I could. Dave’s Italian Kitchen, if y’all reading this PLEASE add some flavor to your pasta!

Dave’s personal touch is evident from the kitchen to his warm welcoming of the diners. The food and service are outstanding. Dave is proud of the “homemade” quality and taste of his Italian dishes. If you like traditional Italian food in a cozy neighboohood restaurant setting …..all at a reasonable price..this place is for you. See you at Dave’s!!!

I have only picked up food, never at inside. Their pizza is awesome. The thin crust is perfect. I have also ordered chicken parmesan. It was outstanding. All ingredients are fresh and tasty.

The restaurant has a sign that prides itself on HOMEMADE food. The ravioli is, the pasta is not. The food was poorly plated, my friend ordered a pesto dish where the entire plate was filled with soupy ravioli and runny pesto atop. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca and it tasted like previously Frozen chicken breast, the breading was over cooked and the chicken was fine. The pasta tasted like it came from a box. Not worth 12$.
