TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

If you haven’t been to Dave’s, put the phone down right now and go, grab a snack, grab a meal, feed the family, just do it! Dave’s atmosphere, and front counter staff are exceptional and eager to help you get squared away. I just grabbed a quick snack, but let me tell you, it was great! Different, not the normal boring stuff you see everyday, nah this is much, much more. I’ll be back many more times, I gotta try the whole menu! Unfortunately I did not get the names of the front counter folks, but there was a young man there that was sorta like a giant teddy bear, he had amazing customer service, at the counter and drive through as I heard him interacting with other customers. Thanks big homie, you rock!!!

Got the hot single slider and it was so good we ate it in the parking lot and pulled straight through the drive thru to get another one. Was helped by Lucas originally and he was exceptionally nice and helped us with deciding what we wanted. Military discount is 50% off so that means order more! It’s well worth it. When we went back through the drive thru was helped by Bree and Vincent and they were very nice helpful and funny. Great experience overall, I live 2 hours away and it’s so good I’m willing to make the drive once a week just to get this chicken. Amazing seasoning and great spice level if you’re a spicy food connoisseur.

The menu is well displayed, and different levels of spice. Huge chicken tenders with amazing rub. The flavor is unforgettable..and with honey .. WOW.

Pretty good. Chicken was great! Fries were not warm at all but that’s only complaint. Would come back a third time (been to Eugene location).

First time buying from Dave’s Hot Chicken. I do not live close by and I was in a rush and ordered online, I realized once I got home that I had no monies on me to leave a tip. I am really sorry and next time I will remember because we will be back. We thank everyone working at Dave’s tonight. My son had been asking for awhile and due to how far we are I had to wait. Today I had to go into town and this was my opportunity to pick some food up. My son loved it. Everyone loved the food. Again I ordered online, food was ready super fast not a long wait. The beautiful lady at the window handed me my order and was really kind. We appreciate all of you wonder image’s of Our Father God and Our Brother JesusChrist. Below is my 5 stars review I Left a couple of days ago. My wife and I actually went back the following day with one of my sons and food and service was good.
We recommended you guys to our other son and his wife. They went today, (2/27/2026) and visited you guys per our recommendation. Sad to say the report we got from them was, ” are you guys kidding about that place?”.
One of your employees recommended my son to get his sandwich with cheese, he agreed, got charged and guess what? You guys didn’t put any cheese in it. They also mentioned the place had a funky smell, my daughter said the shake was not up to par. Overall you guys “FAILED” us.
You made close to 70$ on my wife and I visit and returned visit. You failed my son and his wife about 35$ .
Your 5 stars went down to 0 ⭐.

“I will no longer recommend you to any tourists, family members or friends”. Very simple
I am close to calling my bank and contesting the charges. So don’t tempt.

I Survived Dave’s Carolina Reaper Chicken.
Bree, was so worried that she came and checked how we were doing. I haven’t felt this alive with heat in a while. Even my wife was burning with a little taste of my chicken. Definitely recommend it. Big chicken portions too, a slider is like a full size chicken sandwich, so I don’t know why is called a slider.
Fries were delicious. My wife loved the caulibites, she said they were cook to perfection. Definitely recommend and we are coming back. First time visit but definitely not the last .

I’ve never had Dave’s hot chicken, so I ordered a mild and medium strip combo. The food was super fresh and hot. The chicken was juicy. The seasoning was nothing like I have ever had, and wasn’t very hot/spicy, it was perfect and flavorful. Fries were cooked to perfection. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff was wonderful and friendly. So happy they moved into the neighborhood.
