TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. The cashier, Sakib, was incredibly kind and funny he genuinely made us smile and made the whole visit better. People like him make you want to come back. Highly recommend!

I reviewed this place when they first opened and the portions were great for the price. However, the quality has taken a massive hit. I paid $15 for the meal I got, and the chicken was way too small for the price. I can get much better portions for the price at different places around here. I won’t dog on them too hard, since it could be a minor mistake, but I still feel like I overpaid for what I got.

Amazing spot for hot chicken. The chicken is always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, and the spice levels are on point. Even the mild has great taste, and the hot really brings the heat if you want it. Portions are generous, fries are crispy, and everything tastes made to order. Staff is friendly and the place has a good vibe. Definitely one of the best hot chicken spots around. Highly recommend.

Chicken flavor is SO good! We got Medium and it was perfect! Fries are also good, if you’re a pickle fan you’ll love the flavor of the dill pickle chips and the amounts are large! Friendly service and clean atmosphere we will definitely be returning.

I have never went to a better fast food restaurant in my life. The ambiance was in another level. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. The prices are great. We ordered sliders and bites. I highly recommend this restaurant in Redding!

I came here around 7 PM and the restaurant was about half full. The guy who served us was absolutely fantastic-super friendly and helpful. The chicken was incredible, probably some of the best I’ve had, and the overall vibe of the place was really cool.
The only small downside was that there wasn’t any ice available, and a couple of the sodas were marked out. But honestly, that’s a small thing, and everything else more than made up for it.
Overall, definitely a 5-star spot. I’ll be back for sure.

It was my first time coming in and we were greeted in such a friendly, enthusiastic way by Sakib! He asked if it was our first time and when I said yes, he came around the counter to show us how the menu worked and explain their products, which I really appreciated.
He made some recommendations, let us know about substitutions, and even told us how to get a free side if we wanted. Then he gave us time to look over the menu while helping other customers. He was so kind, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic. It made the whole experience feel welcoming and fun.
First impressions… I’m impressed! I will definitely be back and will be recommending others come try it as well.
