TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Really good fried chicken. I tried the one HOT and one Medium Spicy chicken slider. Definitely very flavorful and great quality meat. Sauce is gread too and Fries were seasoned. My first time ever trying Dave’s chicken and i was not at all disappointed. Must try if you are fried chicken fan.

A friend raved about Dave’s, so I came in with high expectations as a first-timer. The vibe is fun, bright, loud, and perfect for a casual dinner. The service, unfortunately, dimmed the experience. The front counter felt cold and impatient while we tried to navigate the menu, and a simple request for a small drink was rung up as a large one. No guidance on spice levels. We also over-ordered. Interesting atmosphere and decent meal, but the lack of helpful, friendly service took the shine off.

One of the best chicken sandwiches all around!! Never been disappointed by Dave’s. Mouthwatering sandwiches, sumptuous milkshakes, crispy fries, you name it… And all at reasonable prices. Shout out to the Sunnyvale location in particular… they have excellent customer service.

Spicy chicken! Did a take out. The interior looked clean, and the staff were friendly (even gave me a free drink). There was a slight wait, but was worth it. The chicken sliders and tenders were tasty, and the “extra hot” really brought the heat perfect for spice lovers.

My husband visited this location today and was incredibly disappointed by the lack of training regarding corporate rewards. I presented a ‘Be Our Guest’ meal voucher given to me by a member of the Dave’s Hot Chicken Corporate Real Estate team.
Even though the voucher explicitly states it is valid at ANY Dave’s Hot Chicken location, the staff here refused to honor it. They didn’t even attempt to verify the card with a manager. They also stated that it was fake. Extremely disappointing and frustrating that they have never heard of this.

Solid chicken place, but nothing special. They have good spice levels (I got hot, as someone who likes spicy, and there are two levels higher!)
There are bathrooms and the staff is friendly. Food comes out pretty fast. The mac and cheese with fries is kind of a waste since it is mostly fries, not that much pasta. I was not a big fried pickle fan, but my friends loved it.

Food 10/10, atmosphere 10/10, and service 20/10! It wasn’t very busy when we arrived and we were greeted right away by Maria. She introduced herself by name, took our order with the nicest customer service and let us know if we needed anything that she would help us. The food was ready very quickly and our number was called by the supervisor (I think). He was super kind and introduced himself as Reynaldo (sp?). As someone who works in the service industry, I highly appreciated this small gesture of the employees introducing themselves by name. The food was hot and delicious and I love the new addition of the Dave Bites! The value of the food was well worth it and I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer. In fact, I recently tried Chikin Drip (in San Jose) and their food/service was extremely lacking and disappointing compared to Dave’s Hot Chicken in Sunnyvale! Dave’s Hot Chicken is over a 10/10 experience!!

Perfectly cooked chicken. Had the mild and reaper tenders. Mild was excellent, a bit spicy and sweet. Reaper was incredibly hot. You MUST have it with the milkshake, which I did. They make you sign a waiver.
