TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I just wanted to shout out Mayte at Dave’s Hot Chicken because she was honestly amazing! From the moment I walked in, she was super friendly, patient, and helpful. She answered my questions without rushing me, made sure my order was exactly how I wanted it, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. You can tell she really cares about giving great customer service.
The food was already good, but her energy made the whole experience even better. Employees like Mayte make you actually want to come back. She definitely deserves recognition!

Mayte was very helpful. Was trying to figure out what my young child would want and she had great suggestions and recommendations. Food came out fast, was very delicious (probably our favorite chicken place now) and the recommendation she made delivered 100%. My child loved it!! Delicious delicious food!
I had such a bad day from work, but I was treated ever so warmly with the waiters and servers, especially Isiah…! He asked me about my day and my tattoo which had such a deep connection with my past, it really made me so emotional and even more excited to know I’m eating food made with love!
I would have taken a picture that looks more appealing but I just couldn’t resist the big fat chicken sandwiches made with love sitting right in front of me!!
I’ll be back for the scrumptious scrumptious chicken and for the warm smile Isiah greeted me, what a polite young boy!

I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of heat and flavor. The sliders were packed with taste, the fries were seasoned perfectly, and everything came out fresh and hot. The staff was friendly, fast, and made the whole visit feel welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots for hot chicken — I’ll 100% be coming back again soon!

My son is a fan of this , but my first time dining and having Dave’s. I ordered the new Top- Loaded fries and that was amazing! My server recommended the loaded fries and I ordered it in a large; she did warn me it was huge. And she was right; it can feed 2 people! But what amazed is the combination of the slaw, pickles, cheese sauce over the fries of course with the chicken. Then drizzle yoir Dave’s sauce! BOMB!!!

I don’t know what’s going wrong at this location, but recently the quality has been bad. The last three orders I’ve had the chicken have been raw!!!! If you’re going to serve a thick piece of chicken to a customer at least cook it throughly!!! It sucks when you find out after you’ve eaten over half of it.

We came at around 11:20pm in drive, and we were those obnoxious customers that didn’t know what they wanted. Mayte gave us excellent service the whole entire time. She was patient with us, gave us a smile, and truly made us feel appreciated. I had an awesome experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken thanks to one of the workers there matte. She was extremely helpful, patient, and genuinely friendly from the moment I walked in. She took the time to answer my questions, made sure my order was exactly how I wanted it, and kept a great attitude even while things were busy. You can tell she actually cares about customers and takes pride in her job. Service like that makes a huge difference and is the reason I’ll keep coming back. Dave’s is lucky to have her!
