TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

It was my first time trying Dave’s hot chicken, and my husband wanted to go for his birthday so we went for lunch. We had the best experience! Cassie rung us up and was so friendly! The food was great as was the milkshake! I usually can’t get milkshakes anywhere anymore because everyone uses Dubai chocolate and I’m allergic to pistachios.. so I was SO happy there were no Dubai milkshakes

This was my first time having Dave’s, and it was full of flavor! The fries were perfectly crunchy and the medium chicken was just the right amount of heat for me. I thought the serving size was huge! I could’ve easily shared with my partner if we had ordered some extra fries. Big fan of the Dave’s sauce as well. Dill pickles were top notch. We waited 15-20 minutes for our food, not bad considering there were a lot of orders ahead of us. I personally didn’t love the atmosphere because I’m sensitive to sound, and it’s relatively loud in the dining area… think metal chairs scraping on concrete floor and reasonably loud music. I would definitely do take out next time, but I can’t wait to have this meal again!

A new location but the same great flavor! We came here for lunch and even though they just opened the wait wasn’t too long. They give you a pager if you order to go, which was handy because we waited outside. They have minimal seating outside so if you have a larger group plan to sit indoors.
The food was cooked perfectly! We ordered the Dave’s #2 and extra fries to share, it’s perfect amount of food for 2 people. I get mild seasoning because I don’t like it too hot and the mild has such a good flavor! I devoured my sandwich quickly. The fires have a good seasoning too, not hot just tasty! Also make sure to get Dave’s sauce, can’t eat it without it!
The service was good, the cashier she was friendly and answered our questions. The place was clean and the location is great with lots of parking. We will definitely be back!

I’ve had my mouth set on trying and was sadly disappointed by the taste of the chicken. I order mine medium and while fresh, I found the coating of seasonings or breading to be off. Kinda bland to say the least. The service was fine and the presentation was beautiful!

Tried out the new location in Colorado Springs and it didn’t disappoint. Have had Dave’s Hot Chicken before but decided to check out the new location. Went in on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was pretty busy (to be expected as it was dinner time as well as a new business in the neighborhood) ordered our food to go because there wasn’t any tables to sit at at that time. Food came out hot and fresh. Took about 20 minutes to get the food but can definitely understand why and we were prepared for that. If you have never tried Dave’s I would give it a try. Be careful with hot and above on the spice level and I do believe that you have to sign a waiver on the hottest chicken (Reaper)

This Dave’s does a great job! The food is great and you can really tell that the staff cares about each other. The shift lead Sydney was amazing. Helping the other staff wherever she was needed. She seemed so great that I asked Cheryl about her and she couldn’t say enough good things. Love being in a store where the staff is well cared for.

You can tell she genuinely cares about the customer experience and not just rushing people through. My food came out fresh, hot, and exactly how I wanted it. My Son & I absolutely love that we now have one closer to us. A bit sad they don’t have a drive to thru but we understand. EVERY one of the counter staff were beyond welcoming. Katie helped me and she was a doll! Food was freshly made & appreciate that. Bathrooms were clean. Definitely will come back!!!!!
