TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This is our fifth time visiting Dave’s Hot Chicken. The fried chicken is always cooked perfectly and never dry. The spice levels are excellent, offering great options for both non-spicy eaters and spice lovers. The chicken pieces, whether in the sliders or tenders, are always a generous size and very satisfying. The staff are all super friendly. One time we were debating whether to try the hottest chicken, and I think the manager offered to cook a small piece for us to sample since it’s extremely spicy. It really was very, very spicy, and I’m glad he let us try it first. For me, the medium is just right: flavorful, spicy, but still comfortable. Overall, if you’re looking for truly spicy fried chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken is a great choice.

This was my first time to this location. Very clean as I was the only one there. Service was fast and food was good. Place was very clean. Overall it is expensive. I paid 16$ and didn’t even get a drink.
Downloaded the app and it’s a challenge. Note that I work for App Development of restaurants and this locations competitors. I could not get my receipt uploaded which is not the apps fault but the loyalty company punchh. So disappointing experience with earning points via scan of receipt.

They do a few things here and they do them well! Hot and Extra Hot are just enough to get your nose running. The staff here was super friendly and was constantly asking if I needed anything.

My son and I love Dave’s but this location is the best we have been to so far. Great food, excellent service and super friendly atmosphere. John W helped us today. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered our standard order but he suggested a honey twist on it. Was not wrong!! Thanks

I visited this Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time today and was amazed by the level of customer service from Mark. This guy is a gem and he really stood out as someone who genuinely cares about the people he’s serving. You can see he treats the place like it’s his own, taking pride in every interaction and making sure customers leave happy.

Everything atmosphere wise was fantastic. The main entree was wonderful and delicious. The chicken, cooked just a bit dry. The sauce helped make up for the dryness. The seasoning on the fries and the fries themselves were good. I ordered cheese on the fries. For $1.50 extra, you’d think it would be more cheese, was lacking quantity for price. The cheese tasted like fake cheese, plasticity. Not my cup of tea, ill know next time to get regular fries. Dipped in sauce and they was great. Pickles were scrumptious. Pricing was a but much for the quantity. Two people, $35, without drinks. Probably more worth it if drinks came with. All and all, it was really good food and ill be back again, next time sustaining from the extra cheese on fries. Also probably wont spend the extra $3 on the sauce and just order 2 or 3 of the smaller cups of sauce.
