TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken killed it. The chicken was incredibly fresh, juicy, and had the perfect crunch. Even with the crowd, the customer service was top-tier— Jamar was friendly and attentive- he made sure I was taken care of. If you want high-quality food and a great vibe, this is the place! I got the #4, btw!

Hello! I went to this location and was treated like an idiot by one employee wearing a red bandana.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF VEGITARIAN!
Go to any other location for your own sanity if you are. It’s not worth the disrespect.
A week prior we had ordered a cauliflower sandwich (Pictured). And it was flat and sad, it happens sometimes. Had only a little cauliflower through half of it. I go to get it replaced. The cashier clicked her tongue at me and acted like I was trying to get free food! I told her it was flat and had almost no cauliflower and she said “Sir, that isn’t how frying works” and preceded to tell me how frying food works. I showed her the pictures and then she told me AGAIN how frying food works. I had to threaten to go to corporate to get the sandwich replaced. She kept eying me up and down, judging me with her eyes like I was an idiot white boy.
When she put it in she looked up and said “And you want ALLLLLLLLL this?”, like I was trying to replace the whole order. I said no I don’t want freebees I just want the sandwich remade. Then she looked at me like she was going to SPIT ON MY FOOD!
Like I picked the cauliflower out and I’m faking it! I just want to get the amazing sandwich how its supposed to come!
Anyhow the manager later gave me the new sandwich, giving me some spin on how the recipe changes here and there. He was very polite but I know when I’ve been profiled and mistreated. (Regardless +1 star for being professional you’re cool)
I used to love this location but this interaction has changed my opinion about this Dave’s. I did also include a pic of the full size cauliflower sandwich which is an amazing option. But with employees like that I will never go to this location again.
(Btw I make an amazing Louisiana style fry on my own chicken <3, been to NOLa 3 times and counting just to figure it out and nail it)
Tldr: I wanted a replacement sandwich and got treated like I don’t know how food works. Dave’s is worth it but maybe not this one.

We had a great family dinner here! The chicken was delicious, but the highlight was the service. Jamar was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!

Man oh man, Dave’s Hot Chicken was delightful. They give you 2 planks of chicken, not “strips”, PLANKS. These pieces are not small at all. I ordered “medium” and “no spice” (no spice isn’t pictured here). Their crispy fries are great and the chicken was juicy, flavorful and filling. I definitely recommend trying Dave’s Hot Chicken if you have the chance, and favor flavorful chicken. (The sauce was good, as well). Overall great decision for dinner in Dallas.

Left Mac n cheese out and I believe the top loaded fries have the same spice level even though I requested one to be medium the other mild. Both taste mild. Stick to the tenders, the medium was pretty spicy and good, haven’t tried the sliders yet

First time I’ve been here. Was recommended by a friend and I love it. Verleshia C that greeted me was very nice and explained everything to me about the restaurant. She also gave me suggestions on the different heats the chicken came in and I settled for the medium. The food was hot and fresh and filling. I will definitely come back again. Oh and I had the 2 chicken sliders with cheese and the cheese fries. I was stuffed.

Food was delicious! Definitely recommend trying the Fruity Pebbles topped shake. Victor was incredibly friendly and helpful with navigating the menu and answering any questions we had.
