TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The atmosphere at this location is ok, nothing special it was clean, I’drate it at 3 stars out of 5. The food is good. I’d rate it at a about 4.4 stars out 5. The customer service was good a solid 4 stars out of 5. The service fast and the sandwich was tasty. I’d recommend trying this fast casual restaurant a try. They have several levels of spicy levels for the chicken. The employees are happy to assist customers with selecting the proper level of heat to try.

This was a perfect place to stop for lunch. We were a little early and they actually opened the doors 6 mins early and told us come on in. Customer service was outstanding. Food perfect. Its got a great upbeat vibe, nice outdoor seating, which was perfect for our little pup. Big outdoor area for kids to run and play.

You have to pay to park if you want to eat next to the building which is a real bummer. It is only $5 but still, I will say the food is worth it. Came in for lunch Saturday afternoon and food was hot and fresh. Love all the different sauce options and food is always seasoned well.

The medium spicy chicken sandwich was good. I got medium spice. My boyfriend got hot spicy, which he said ruined the experience for him. He’s the one that recommended the place because his boss had ordered it in the medium spice and he really liked it. He LOVES spicy so I was very surprised that it was too much for him. He was complaing the whole time he was eating it saying he was feeling sick it was so hot lol he said he had to finish it because it was expensive for such a small sandwich. The sanwhich definitely didn’t fill me up, it was more like a snack sandwich. Im small too and don’t eat large portions, but this was like one small chicken strip with a tablespoon of coleslaw. The coleslaw was super good. Next time I’ll ask for extra. I liked that the bun was a simple thin hamburger bun, I’m not big on thick bread. The place was clean and modern style. The wait for the food was average, 5ish minutes.

The chicken and seasoning is fantastic and prices are the same. Same atmosphere but settled in a nicer area. It’s so close you can walk or scooter over to it, it’s at 1 NW 9th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
Dave’s isn’t bad, but it isn’t good either. If you want GREAT, go a little further up the road… it’s well worth it and I’m sure most Okie’s would agree.
