TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and really enjoyed it. I ordered Dave’s #1 mild, and the spice level was perfect for me. I had heard it was better than Raising Cane’s, and after trying it, I can say I like both. Dave’s Hot Chicken stands out for its bold seasoning, which gives the chicken a lot more flavor.

First timer here and I have to say, I was very impressed. The chicken sliders were both cooked perfectly and were very juicy. They were a prefect combination of breading, seasoning, and chicken flavor. The heat level was exactly as advertised.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I came for the Fallout box with the stimpak. Surely enough, they had some in stock.The manager is an absolute gem. He was the most hospitable and extremely kind. Some of the best chicken on the side of the Mississippi, I’ll tell you what! 10/10 experience.

Aaron with two r’s was incredibly helpful and catered to my every need. The moment I walked into this establishment I was met with an inexplicable feeling of joy and comfort. When I ordered, he walked me through every spice level and reassured every concern I had! When I couldn’t determine a spice level due to my indecisiveness, he led me in the right direction by perfectly illustrating how I would feel while eating each spice level. Aaron’s professionalism and genuine care made the entire experience unforgettable—he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, someone with his patience, attention to detail, and customer care deserves at least a $10 raise.

Great place for young crowd to enjoy the hot chicken and sit and chit chat with friends. I just tried one or two options in the menu and they are good. I will try more soon, but suggest all to try, they are tasty.

This is one of the best chicken places I’ve been to. The food is delicious! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The seating area is pretty small though and you may have to wait a while for a seat. Other than that, it’s a great place and I’d recommend a visit.

I’m from Texas and was extremely excited when I found Dave’s Hot Chicken here in Minnesota. I stopped by to see if the flavor was the same as the south and was VERY AMAZED and SATISFIED!!! Driving here was worth every drop of my gas. AARON and Jaleena the cashier were so customer friendly. AARON who took my order welcomed me with more than a customer friendly service smile and attitude. He was patient, honest, and friendly. I haven’t gone to a restaurant/fast food where ive seen the employees happy and excited to work. The atmosphere was calm and clean although they were very busy which also speaks for the restaurant and service they provided along with hospitality. I got my order super quick even though they were extremely busy which is always a plus Very SATISFIED

I’ve been to this Dave’s Hot Chicken location four times over the past year, and it continues to be a solid go-to for bold, delicious heat. The chicken is consistently tasty, crispy, juicy, and coated in that signature Dave’s seasoning that slams. The hot honey bites I had today were especially good: flavorful, a little sticky, and just the right amount of heat.
The Food
• My teen ordered Dave’s #3 (slider + tender, fries, drink) with cheese, hot honey, and Dave’s sauce. Halfway through what looked like a mountain of food, he announced, “This is great. I already can’t wait to come back.”
• Fries are seasoned with paprika, crispy, and addictive.
• Drinks are good, too, and the fun chicken mascot adds just a bit of playful energy.
The Atmosphere
• Very red interior and loud music, definitely not a place for quiet conversation.
• At busy times it can feel packed, with long lines, limited seating, and a sometimes chaotic parking situation.
• Today (a Tuesday around 4:45 PM) was the opposite: easy parking, no line, lots of tables.
Service & Cleanliness
• Our server was friendly and our order came out fast, about five minutes.
• Tables were being cleaned while we were eating, though ours was slightly dirty when we sat down.
• Bathrooms were clean (two unisex options).
Overall
Dave’s delivers exactly what it promises: finger-lickin’ hot chicken with crave-worthy flavor. If you hit it at the right time, it’s an easy and enjoyable stop. If you come during peak hours, be ready for a line, a wait, and hunting for parking but the food usually makes it worth it.

This place has quickly become one of my go-to spots for crispy fried chicken. The chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice level was right on point, trust their spiciness chart. The staff is kind and attentive throughout the visit.

I am currently inside Dave’s chicken waiting for an order that said it would be ready at 5:58. It is currently 6:11. There are over 40 people in here currently waiting for their food at one time. This is a literal circus. The workers are doing great to the best of their abilities but they can not be taking this many orders at once. And the screens won’t update so nobody knows when their food is ready. My food also said ready on the app and when I asked it wasn’t. Someone will need to limit the orders at a time or you won’t get returning customers. I want to mention again the workers are doing great this is on the gm / company.
