TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken never disappoints
The place is always very clean, the chicken is super juicy and crispy, and the spice levels are perfect for everyone. Portions are generous and full of flavor.The atmosphere is great and you can really feel the good vibes. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Highly recommended!

I enjoy spicy chicken and this one punches!
From other reviews, I agree that the heat levels are a bit hotter than written, so be aware. It’s spicy but doesn’t overwhelm. Spice has a little pepper to it and isn’t heavily breaded….not complaining but as an FYI when comparing to other wings/fried chicken. I liked it but was noticeable and somewhat unique.
Vibe is fun and the decor definitely vibrant. Came here for lunch, seems like it would be an event late at night.

Lovely meal, excellent service.
Very impressed with staff as there was a difficult customer at Dave’s when we were there with our son and the staff handled the situation well, stayed calm, de-escalating the agitated individual and resolved the issue.
Kudos to Dave’s Hot Chicken and their staff for the meal and service.

The chicken here is fantastic and sooo fresh! I really enjoyed it I could have handled a bit more heat too but I did get the medium one , I ordered a sandwich meal and the customer service from the workers was fast and polite I will def be back I got so full of this meal it was at a decent price too for how good the food was , the interior is very clean and we’ll thought out with art all over the restaurant lots of different tables or seating facing Ford Pkwy and they also had outdoor seating

There was not a thing about this place that I did not like… It was exceptionally clean.The staff were wonderful. The food was the most fantastic chicken that I’ve had in a long time. I hate places that say that their food is spicy and then you get in there and it’s not. Cause they had to white girl tame something…. yes I’m going to put it that way. My friend and I love spicy food but our family members don’t so we go and try as many places that we can that have spicy food. Great flavor. Was not as crunchy as i was expecting but made up for that in flavor.

We had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken. Mayra, Jonathan, and Ben provided excellent customer service they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean and well organized, which we really appreciated. The food had amazing flavor, fresh and perfectly seasoned. On weekends, the place has a great vibe and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to!

This is the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had. I have been here about 4 times since moving here and every time my food was made to order. You can taste and see that it was. That and I noticed the menu is extremely limited too.
This, in my mind, is the way to run a food business I believe. Fast food anyway. Only offer a few things but do them right! You can tell they rigorously tested their batter until they got it perfect. All 4 times I’ve ate there, the chicken was not dry once because they have the cooking time dialed in and they greenlighted the “eye candy” of having the tender stick out on both sides of the bun.
They catch your eyes, nose and taste buds. This is why they have 5 out of 5 reviews here on Google. It’s really very simple. Smart business.
