TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken absolutely deserves a five-star rating! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most amazing staff who immediately made me feel welcome and at home, even though I’m not from the area. The location is easy to access, the restaurant is super clean and tidy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. My food was delicious (Dave’s #4) and the team went above and beyond my expectations. I truly wouldn’t have picked any other lunch option. If I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars (or more), I definitely would. Thank you, Dave’s Hot Chicken, for the great hospitality and genuine kindness!

Yesterday I went to try Dave’s hot chicken which is Halal. The wings were good and sauce was amazing but hot chicken wasn’t crispy and batter was not tasty.

Griffin was super helpful and kind! We haven’t been to this place in about a couple years and they kindly explained what was new and what had stayed the same in terms of the menu. They even explained the spice scale and what would be best based on our tolerances! Even kinder was that they even helped us bring our trays to our table! 5 star customer service from Griffin! The kindness shown to us today made the food taste even better!

Been waiting to try this place! So happy we came in! From the moment we stepped in the door, Keith greeted us with a smile, as he continued to help the customer in front of us. We ordered and he helped us answer our first timer questions with a huge smile and ease! This place is spotless! It smells good when you come in! Inside is vibrant and full of abstract art on the walls. It’s very inviting, clean, and open, also plenty of seating. The food came relatively quick for being made to order, it was hot, fresh, juicy, flavorful, and crispy all at the same time! Their chicken is delicious! There is a big jump in heat from their medium to their hot. I can’t imagine going hotter than their one above hot… their reaper sauce must leave you burning at both ends as you have to sign a waiver to order and consume it! Their slush freezes were just what we needed to calm down the burn. Keith even came over to us during our meal to see how our first time was, and we both were raving about how we can’t wait to come back with our kids and their friends!

First time visit here ever! Cliff was amazing and super friendly. He was kind enough to explain what they had on the menu and even joked with us. Great customer service at this place! Cliff named my milkshake order before I even said anything it was great! This establishment was very clean no trash on the floor. Most places that serve chicken tends to be dry but this chicken is moist and tender and just falls apart in your hands! Keep up the great work team and we will most def be back again!!!

The team is always so friendly, my food is always perfect, including the request I make to have extra slaw/pickles. Great place to eat!
