TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Mason helped us at the counter and was a delight. He was kind and greeted us with a smile, happy to help. The food here is amazing and does not disappoint! We always visit when near campus and they have the best chicken we have found! It was on my sons bucket list and is his favorite. Highly recommend! The atmosphere is great to, and the art on the walls is fantastic! Take a trip, eat some food and take it all in!

I mean honestly, the guy at the counter was slipperier than a sea otter in an oil spill. Quick and slick with it, got my food lickety split and made sure I got a wicked deal. Shout out Dave. And his chicken. Let me know if you need someone to check your furnace out.

First time at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and WOW!
I went in right when they opened at 11:00 a.m., and I was so impressed. The chicken was absolutely incredible—juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. It was honestly a joy to eat, no exaggeration! The portions are huge, and it’s definitely worth the price.
I followed their suggestion to dip the chicken in the sauce, then add honey and pickles… Trust me, there’s no other way to do it! It was the perfect combo of spicy, sweet, and tangy.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is officially one of my new favorite spots. It’s a 1hr 15min drive from my place, but I’d make the trip any day. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t yet!
