TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I’ve ordered twice personally from DHC. Once on uber eats, and second I made an in store pick up order to go. The order to go was so disappointing. The chicken was tiny compared to before when I ordered on Ubereats, and they put such a small around of fries that you could see half the box was empty. It also had a weird black spot on one of them so I don’t eat it. You can tell which one was the Uber eats and which one was the pick up. The Ubereats one is the first, and the pick up was second. The seasoning on the fries are also much different, even looking at the shade of the chicken differs. The chicken for the pickup order was also stale from the outside, and the fries were all tiny pieces. Ubereats charges more for the food items though, so it’s $18 for the combo instead of $14 in person. Not sure if I’ll eat here since they change up every time.

The manager Matthew knows I have been going there for a year now and he refused to remake my food all of a sudden because he said I complain too much. I’m allergic to pickles. They know that so I receive pickles on my food sometimes sometimes my food be old or they give me the wrong food Wrong spice level also today I was supposed to go get my food. It was remade. He told me I couldn’t get it because I complain too much. This is his third time telling me this. I was kind of shocked because why do he feel like that and he’s the only one that feels like that if I talk to a Another manager, his name is Darvon He said come back you can get your order remade. I said OK then you have Matthew telling me I can’t and never can like. Who are you? I don’t know you. You don’t know me. You just work here and if I say, my food was received old. And wrong spice, I automatically with no backtalk should have my order remade. He act like my order came out of his check general manager Jason refuse all of a sudden. like this is wrong they are the only location that’s close to by me. I don’t deserve this. I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now I am taking a legal action because I know I’m gonna have problems when I order here again and it’s not fair because it’s only two people that refuse to make my order no one else The mac & cheese be watery the tenders be small for the sandwiches and they told me it’s not supposed to be that Small, why is Matthew refusing to make my order then why is it a problem with just him?

I had such a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and it was all thanks to Jaafar! From the second I walked in, he greeted me with a genuine smile and made me feel completely welcome. He was patient, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave awesome recommendations that did not disappoint.
Jaafar went above and beyond to make sure my order was perfect and checked in to make sure everything tasted great. The food was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor, but what really stood out was his outstanding customer service. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly takes pride in their work and truly cares about the customer experience.

I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and I’ve gotta give a huge shoutout to Jaafar Aljeraiw. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and made sure everything was perfect with my order. You can tell he actually cares about the customers and takes pride in his work.
The food was fresh, hot, and came out fast — but honestly, the service is what made it even better. Jaafar went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. If you stop by, definitely hope he’s working. He’ll take care of you!

I’m not going to lie. The menu was simple – chicken! The prices were out of this world!!! Since my daughters have been doing great in school and my wife needed a break from cooking, we got some Dave’s Hot Chicken. OMG not the fact that the bill total was over $100 for 4 people NOPE! The food was so good that I can’t wait to go back again!!! Sadly there is not one in Grand Rapids, Michigan. So, anyone wanting or planning a road trip to Dearborn, Michigan – YOU GOT TO GET SOME DAVE’S. (Maybe drop me a DM on facebook, I’m always looking for liked minded people that love great food and don’t mind driving 2 hours one way to get it!)

Dave’s Hot Chicken in Dearborn is always on point. The food is super consistent every time I come through, and everything tastes fresh and made right. They’re almost always busy, which says a lot, but service still moves well. It’s honestly a perfect fit for downtown Dearborn and a solid spot when you want something reliable and flavorful. Definitely recommend.
