TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I decided to give Dave’s a second look so I stopped by again to give them another go. I got the same order again to give it a fair revisit as well. The portion sized did shrink from my first visit and the fries still have an odd greasy taste I just can’t get past but the spice on the chicken is very nice. Unfortunately I don’t think my opinion has really changed on this restaurant though. It may be a great stop for many but not so much for me.

This Dave’s Hot Chicken location is the best! They always give extra sauces without even asking, which I really appreciate. The staff here always welcomes me with a smile and the service is next level every time. The food is fresh, hot, and tastes amazing. Definitely my favorite location!

First time eating Dave’s chicken, really good spicy chicken. Love the sauce and pickles combined with the way Dave cooks chicken with that breading. Yum and big portions to boot.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was amazing. The service was fast, accurate, kind, and overall exceptional. Employees were working constantly, cleaning tables or around the establishment- and making sure all guests were more than satisfied. The food itself was amazing, I have dined in and gotten to go- both are great. My go to order is the dave’s mini sliders with cheese fries!! so good, my new favorite spot

Heard great things about Daves from friends. So excited that they are now open. Ordered the two tender meal. The meal comes with fries. I also ordered their loaded fries which has cheese sauce ,chicken, fries on a bed of kale. I got the medium heat and it was not that spicy. The tenders are huge. The breading is pretty crunchy, but the chicken itself is very juicy and tender. Fries were fresh and have a good seasoning on them. The place was really steady. Great news, they are open until 11pm every night

My family and I ate here for the very first time yesterday. It was phenomenal!! Best chicken I’ve ever tasted!! I mean perfect. The place was super clean. But the people, man, the most helpful and nicest I’ve dealt with at a restaurant. I was messing up the order, with what my kids were wanting and they were patient and polite. Just amazing people. Period. We will be going back. And that buffalo Mac an cheese .. was straight ! Thank you to all the members of that team on Florence.

Great food and portions are good
Music loud and waiting is good for our order it took about 30 minutes due to mistakenly throwing it to another customer. They needed to redo it. A little bit pricey though.
